I can see that. Have a 850i and 860i to compete with the Aston Martins and Ferrari GTs and have the M1 to go after the Audi R8 and the other mid engine supercars.

The new M1 concept is dead sexy. That would work out as the new 8 series, since I doubt BMW would actually bring back the M1 name.

the turbo wasn't a cncept car it was a show car built for show during the 1972 summer olympics in munich (wiki), 2 were built and were fricking long
