I think my M5 has an aftermarket header. Does anyone have picts from the underside of the stock S38 header? I heard it was cast, but mine is definitely tubular.

Tubular!

I thought I read somewhere that the S38 got a cast manifold when they changed it from the M88/3.

Well, that's tubular then! The bad news is, I have a pinhole exhaust leak in them :(

That is an awesome shot. Just wondering, what are the bolt looking things that I always see on the tubes of the headers for?

the bolt holes are either for EGT sensors or air injection.

i'm pretty sure they are for measuring CO when you're setting up the throttle bodies.

You don't have a hi-res version of this, do you? Like, say, a 1280x1024 version?

Actually, you are correct, but to a point. The S38B35 had cast variable-length manifolds.

Nope unfortunately. Maybe next year.

Yeah, after I re-read where I saw that I noticed my mistake.
