Hi All,

I need help diagnosing this, I left town for a week and my 7 sat in garage the whole time. Well when I went to start I had a rough idle and it felt like I was mis firing for about 2 minutes then went away? Ive only had this problem when I dont drive the car for an extended time. I have replaced and refurbished the intake, gaskets and the OSV, plugs, O2 sensors. What could be causing this?

I actually just worked on this problem myself today. I had a bad cam position sensor. Very easy R&R. When they sit for a while, they seem to get gummed up with old oil/sludge. Costs about $125+ from dealer (unless you get a discount like me! :D) Takes about 10 min to change. Don't forget the new o-ring with it too. Take your car to a local chain auto parts store and scan the OBDII for codes. See if this comes up. Could also be a bad intake gasket that seals up when the car warms up. My Jeep seems to do that one.
