Just got back from the AJC Car Show (or whatever the proper title is).

Some pretty impressive cars there, some not so impressive (dare I say mundane) mommy-mobiles.

I saw Geordie working the Butler Tire booth, which had some sick cars including a nice Porsche with a $60k body kit.

I also finally got to see the 135i in person. After sitting in this (M sport package), I can definitely say that I am planning on doing a European Delivery on one within the next two years. I can take the then-Mrs to Germany (with a maiden name of Hassman, she'll feel at home there) and save a few bucks on the car. Besides, the M3 will be tired by then.

Anyway, pretty good show for $10. Glad I didn't miss it, considering I thought I ran through next weekend. Plus, what better way to spend some time with Dad then bonding over cars.

Anybody else get to check it out? I saw a lot of BMW's in the parking lot, including two E36 M3's right next to each other at the front of the "Blue Lot".

Sorry though, no pics, although my friend took a lot with his DSLR (maybe 500 pics? - he needs to get back to posting on here, as he'll be doing ED on his 335i coupe in June, so maybe I can get him to post show pics for anyone interested).

The 135 was very impressive and the Aston Martins that you couldn't come within 10 feet of, but best of all was the Kia section, which helped in my believe that they're the one of the least desirably car manufactures in the world.

LOL. Yeah and I still cannot get over the new STi design.

I will say, the signage and overall display area for BMW was smaller than some of the others. Mercedes sure had a big area, as did Audi. Oh well, it was still enjoyable.

Was there last weekend. R8 was droolerific. The BMW/Mini setup was one of the best, imho. The guy working the Aston booth was really cool. We talked with him for 15-20 minutes and he was really down to earth. ZR1 display was sweet. Skyline was amazing, yet underwhelming. New EVO and STi were pretty unique and not what I was expecting. All in all, I was really impressed. One of the best shows I've been to since I lived in Chicago.

I went today too. I was really impressed with the new Nissan GT-R. The Ferrari 599 left me with some serious wood too.

wasn't impressed with BMWs showing, compared to previous years.

I actually crossed the 135i off my list after sitting in it. Just didn't like it.

yes...the GT-R is a mean looking machine

also was pissed that Porsche didn't even show up at the car show in their NA hometown :mad

Just pestered him about posting the photos (I forgot to ask him after posting here yesterday). He posted them on Facebook...and yes, Geordie is indeed in one of them (sadly I am too). We'll see.

Alrighty, pics as promised, wasn't alot of action over at the BMW area but the 135i was hotter than the M3 (hardly anyone around it). Pics aren't spectacular by any means.

^ I think so

I wasn't impressed with the show to be quite honest. I really loved the Butler booth.

Aston Martin DBS =

Year One had some nice cars too! Other than that, pretty much everything you can see just by walking into a dealership.. nothing impressive
