Do you have a CARB referee sticker for the conversion? How do you pass smog?

No I haven't gotten around to doing that, I might do so depending on the buyer. I have a few places that are cool about smogging a different e30, so that is the way in which I will smog it again.

Trust me, I'm sure a ton of us want this car. However, it's tough to justify when a clean E36 M3 can be had for around the same price.

Except that my car beats e46 m3s, out handles an e36 m3, and the motor only has 60K miles+a nice list of performance upgrades. But it is an e30. I did this project because I much prefer the e30 bodystyle over the e36, and I love embarassing guys in their e46 m3s, the weaker e36 m3s, gtos, 350zs, g35s, etc. with a 20 year old car :D. But I totally understand where you are coming from. Once you drive an s52 e30 your praise of e36s would go right down the drain.

It's more fun as a daily :buttrock. If I wasn't in such a financial slump, there would be no way I'd sell this. But I have plans to do an m50 NV turbo e30 m3 next :evil2.

too bad about the salvage title. what is the paint like overall and is there anything a prospective buyer would have to do right away eg. brakes. This would make a good mate for my e30.

Has this car ever had a turbo or super? Who installed the engine - was it a shop or did you do it yourself? Do you have any receipts for the work done? What was the total for the damage to make it a write-off? And finally, can I see some close up shots of the paint, specifically the skirts and diffuser?

Wow a lot of questions.

No the car has never been charged turbo or super.

First off, the paint is in great shape, a little bit of oxidation builds up on the trunk and roof if you don't wax it regularly. But remember, except for the rear right quarter-panel, this is all original paint. I will try to get some closer pics of it.

Damage cost me $750 my cost with color-sand and professional buffing. Rear quarter was dented in enough to crack the paint, so I had to have it professionally straightened out. The immense amount of oxidation on the paint made it look less worthy, but after it was color-sanded and buffed, the pictures you see were taken.

Front brakes were done about 1,500 miles ago (both pads and rotors). Better pads should be bought for more spirited driving, these are just oem ATEs.

Oil changed less then 1,000 miles ago, regularly changed since swap was done every 3,5000 miles.

Valences could use repainting, since they are texturized I choose not to buff them. There are no skirts, that is just black protective paint on the rockers that could be redone as well.

The swap was done by myself and a mechanic over 1 year ago when I used to work for him. There aren't many detailed receipts because many parts either came from the donor vehicle or were sourced from junkyards. The intake setup could use some work for better throttle response, but I'm not going to change that.

Nice ride, e30 s52 swap is the shizz. I would totally buy this car if I was in the market, unfortunately not right now.
