I bought this off e-bay late last year from a used car lot; some place called K & F Auto in Campbell, CA. The seller "Omied" didn't provide the code as promised (said he'd get it from a friend at a BMW dealer) so I eventually had to get it myself from a helpful fellow in one of the forums.
So, finally having the code I decided to try and bench-test it, and of course it doesn't work right! Why am I not surprised? AM/FM seemed to worked fine; I put a CD in it and it played, but then I pressed the eject button and it would not eject; just made a clicking noise, with the eject motor whirring away. I decided to try it in my car anyway... Output sounded fine (actually pretty good compared to my original deck) and CD plays, but still will not eject.
...So now I'm selling it as-is. It may be fixable, assuming that its a mechanical problem with the delivery mechanism, so if someone wants to give me 20 bucks plus shipping it's yours to tinker with. Shipping will be $21.00 within the 48... so $36.00. I paid $130 + shipping for it (expecting that it would work as promised, of course). Otherwise I'll probably just toss it.
Aesthetically it's very nice; no scratches at all, and screw cover tabs aren't all chewed up either. Its supposed to be from a Z3. Note that it does not have a changer connection.
