How much a difference to an even bigger front bar? I'm just starting to build a track/street(in that order) car. Thanks, please be honest, i'm interested in the bar though. Also, will this bolt up, or do I need to get m3 struts to mount it? Interested, just need the questions answered and a Paypal address. dipstick 07-10-2008, 01:15 AM I really don't know the numbers off the top of my head for non-M, vs. M, vs. aftermarkets sway bar stiffness. This info is all available via searching. All I can say is the M bar is a common/popular upgrade. There was nothing wrong with my handling before I added the AC Schnitz front bar. But, once I added stiffer rear springs, the larger front bar was needed. I "think" conventional wisdom says run the largest front bar you can. So, you might want an aftermarket ... but I don't think you'll find that for $35 :-) Yes, you will need M3 style front struts. Hope that helps, best I can do. (PM sent with paypal address) dipstick Not going to be rude, but most of that information is incorrect. First off if you have a sport 325is then your front sway bar is already larger than the m3 one so getting this would actually be a down grade. Next the biggest sway in front is not always best and depends completely on the suspension setup you are running Next you do no need m3 style struts to run the m3 sway bar. M3 struts would make the effectiveness of the sway better as it raises the reaction point, but are not needed to run this sway. Pointdsm 07-10-2008, 12:27 PM Well I do have the sport suspension, thank you kind sir! dipstick 07-11-2008, 09:33 AM My thanks to cragg56 for the corrections. dipstick dipstick 07-16-2008, 10:17 PM bump dipstick 07-21-2008, 12:14 AM bump dipstick 07-27-2008, 08:58 PM bump dipstick 08-10-2008, 03:02 PM bump dipstick 08-17-2008, 11:53 AM bump |
