We're about to swap in an ABL supplied S50B32 into my 99 US M3.

Better late than never, so an oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge are going in.....

Where are the preferred pickup points to place the sensors for OP and water temp?

OP: remove the factory sensor on the oil filter housing and replace it with a high pressure line to a "T" allowing remote mounting of both a sensor for the idiot light and another for a gauge.

WT: Use the factory location on the water pipe off the water pump, under the intake manifold.

Thanks.... is this different from the US S52?

I think so, but I can't say for sure, as I don't own a US S52, or S50.

Here is how I mounted mine - with a Rogue Engineering oil filter cap. There may be better ways but this ones seems to work well.

We located the OP sensor remotely to avoid vibration issues.

Off of an ODB we have a 30lb. oil pressure warning light sender and braided line to the OP sensor.

Before it's plumbed....
