So, now that you've had it for a few days, I think one important question is waiting from every E46 M3 owner:

DID THEY STOP THE DAMNED E-BRAKE FROM SQUEAKING??!!?!?!?!?!

Having just gone from grocery store to mailbox to home and had to listen to the squeak all 3 times!!

BimmerDawg is confused. Your e46 e-brake is squeaking or Bill's e92 e-brake is?

Well, if your brakes don't squeak when you get in and out of the car, I must conclude one of the following:

1. You know a fix I can't seem to find (and nobody else seems to know about).
2. You're actually the last living wood elf who doesn't leave footprints in snow or put weight on his car. :D

Have you tried bedding in your parking brake shoes??? Seriously.

It's a common problem, supposedly, from every comment on M3Forum.net. No fixes.

You left out:

3. You have coilovers set all the way down, urethane bushings and a convertible top that all squeak all the time, thus rendering the squeaking e-brake unnoticeable. :D

My e-brake squeaked in my 2003.5 M3, but not in the 2005 or 2008.

By the way, I just washed it for the first time. There is something really enjoyable about washing a car for the first time.

You sure about that??? :confused I don't think I've ever 'enjoyed' washing a car, lol.

I'm going to call my friend at county services to see what kind of fines could be assessed by washing your car during a drought.

I used bottled water. Nice try though.

I'd rather be ghey than short.

Hmmm, mine squeaks too, but I think it's louder from the front, so I figured it was the Bilsteins. I've noticed all kinds of strange noises since owning this car, but apparently they are all normal. Must be what they refer to as "character".

Weak!!!!

Real ballers employ an army of umpa lumpas to prevent the dirt from getting to the car in the first place!

I am so sad now!

Umpa Lumpas...

Willy Wonka's dirty little secret, this week on Inside Edition.

For more than 40 years the chocolate candy you and you children have enjoyed has had has more secrets than just some fancy ingredients. What's that secret ingredient? Slavery.

Mine doesn't do that....never has :confused

Edit: From reading a few threads, I guess it's because I use my e-brake fairly often on the street. Maybe you should try that.

Voss ftw! :buttrock

OP, aren't you forgetting the chassis creaks and groans... the car is a rolling contraption.
