What freon should i use i heard that R-134 can work is that true? If not let me know.

They were R-12 from the factory, unless it's been converted R-134 won't work.

That's only if it isn'r converted correctly with the proper o-rings and barrier hoses. The other option is to use something like Redtek or Duracool, aka R12a, which is a hydrocarbon based refrigerant.
