Is this an infrared alarm remote fob you are selling? I have an E34 540i which is not mentioned in you list, If it is compatible I would like a price to Brisbane Australia. My fob is part of the key and I cant get any sensible answer from BMW about the remotes

I got that link and have already looked ate it, the picture is no help and it tells me nothing, I will try to see if BMW can help - last time I tried they were useless. At the price you want I have to be sure before I commit. I thought you may have put some light on the compatability issue.

I did a search on Real OEM using my VIN and it comes up my car and engine with only 4 parts out of the list, I assume these are the parts still available. When I compared the 4 parts they are identical to the link you provided so I can only assume its the same.

I guess I have to take the punt, can you give me a total price shipped via US Mail Service 7-10 days delivery and payment details. I am not in a position to take care of it until the end of the week (about Friday 4th May)

No worries, take your time researching. I am taking pics today and I will post them up, I believe I also have a blank key for one of the remotes, that would be at a higher price. Let me take the pics and you then can tell me if that's what you need.

The pictures are great but dont tell me much if these suit every car except the 540i I really cant see how it wont work. I bought a code reader and resetter and it only showed a compatability for the 1994 model 540i but I know the reader works OK.

Maybe its because its a EURO 540i?????? You show two versions one seems to toggle up and down and one with the BMW logo - is the one with the BMW logo a single button or it also toggles?

The last picture looks like the remote in metalic not plastic, I will have to buy one and if its OK, I will buy a second if it works. Please send prices prices an freight to Brisbane OZ.

The remotes are plastic, I sold the one with the blank key already. They are all the same, I just took pics of the back and front and posted different angles of what the remote looks like. I suggest you ask at the dealer before buying it. Let me know.

What kind of car do you have? check the list that I have, if you car is not there and it might not fit. Let me know.

Read what I wrote on the top again, not trying to be rude, they are all the same thing. You can press the BMW sign on the remote and the key pops up, I did that with some of the ones on the pic.


No offence but the first message I have only shows a list of models the remotes are compatible with and links to the parts list on oem parts there is no description, however I now understand the units u show include a key - that aspect was not obvious until now.

As I stated a number of times the only car not shown in all the lists is my 1993 540i the first listing is '94 model E34 540i, so I guess the model was complianced in Australia in late '93 for the launch of the new '94 model???
