View Full Version : Anybody selling an X5?
///Maniac 04-24-2008, 06:52 PM They seem to be scarce.
Looking for private party 2004+ 4.4L or better.
NOTHING in the FS section for a while.
Just curious.

S54ATL 04-24-2008, 07:41 PM I haven't even searched, but I'm going to guess there's an X5 specific site.
A friend of mine has a 4.4...not sure of year...I think he might be selling. I'll check.
///M3///M5 04-24-2008, 08:21 PM Get a 4.6. I was soooooo close to getting one when I almost sold my car.

I would pick Ali's brothers ride first.
Here is another 4.4 I found for what it is worth

GeorgeM3SMG 04-25-2008, 01:46 PM Bunch of them at everyone's favorite dealership: Global.
Based on how many used cars they have on the lot, I bet you could press a pretty good deal.
Can't beat this deal:

M3Bill 04-25-2008, 02:10 PM ...as I am an older gentleman...
You are? I've never met you, but I would have guessed late-20's at the oldest.

///Maniac 04-25-2008, 02:53 PM The 2004 apparently underwent an overhaul to make it much more feul efficient, and I'll be towing...
However, this is nicely maintained and for the right price might be worth taking a bit of a fuel hit.
Time to go see Ali perhaps.

MCoupe434 04-25-2008, 03:04 PM Damn Ali I wish that car was for sale 2 months from now. As soon as I get back from Europe Ill be in the market again.
It gets about the same gas mileage as a 540i and better gas mileage than my old E39 M5. However, the motor's power delivery and the way it feels is exactly like my previous E39 M5 (Dinan exhaust + 4.6is motor = VERY NICE)
///Maniac 04-25-2008, 03:07 PM I'd probably like to come take a look at it with my mechanic some time.

The car's being stored at my parent's house in their garage, they're on the border of Sandy Springs and Roswell right off the Chattahoochee (sp?) river. Checking it out is no problem :)
It's had EVERY thing taken care of that needs attention on these cars at that mileage (trust me I know as I had the do the same maintenance on my parent's old 4.4L, both the cv boots were replaced, all the front control arms, bushings, tie rods, etc tranny fluid/diff fluid flush, coolant flush, new plugs, new filters, etc)
The paperwork on the maintenance of the vehicle are rather impressive and if I wasn't poor and in debt right now I'd buy it off my brother :shifty <----- that's the honest truth, this is by far my most favorite BMW (BMW out did themselves with the aesthetics on the EB 4.6's)

You are in Europe? I am jealous :shifty You almost change as cars as much as I do. Tell Mr. Ismaili I said hi :shifty
