So I am working on getting the e28 up and running better and I got in touch with Philip at Global. We have an account through work and they deliver so it works out in the end.

Well earlier this week I ordered a valve cover gasket for the e28 and some other parts(door striker covers, fuel filter and euro storage partition). I asked Philip to make sure I don't get a bent up, rusty and mold covered gasket. He let me know that he has no real control over what comes in when he orders and nor what the drivers brings to me.

Well of course the first one comes this morning and is bent to hell and part of the foam is cracked and missing in multiple spots. I text Phildo and ask if he is working and he said yes. Let him know I was going to be in the area getting lunch I told him the gasket I got was wack and he said "I thought that might happen so I ordered two, come grab the other one.".

NICE! Went and grabbed the 2nd one(which is good to go). That is pretty good, almost Brandon-esq. Good Job Phildo!

There is some humor in the story...

His "partner" while inspected the damaged valve cover gasket says "Oh I would use that". I bet you would sir... I bet you would.

The monumental ineptitude that occurs there is criminal (excluding our friend Philip)

My hypothesis is that a higher percentage of the people that were formerly employed there "behind the scenes" are no longer present.

Yea thanks to the abundant latino landscaping services in Smyrna. That's about all they can get right, you can't even find a parking space there.

Since I believe that person is you I wasn't implying you are dumb and since you don't know me personally you don't know my sarcasm level is off the scale!

I have never used you as my parts guy so don't take it personally :)

Sorry if my post implied you were dumb and it offended you.

I can't decide whether I like that place or not. Everytime I go there I either am happy with everything or very annoyed.

Oh, I get it.
Yes Jon, Halston is definitely joking. He's not a douche.
And Halston- Jon is the world's foremost authority on all things E30, E21, E28, E24, and E36 parts related, believe that. Brandon/Philip = Karate Kid, Jon = Mr Miagi.

Probably why he seemed really mad he didn't know I had an M30 just looking at the gasket :)

www.getbmwparts.com <----- I just placed a huge order over there. Email Evan Winstead ( ewinstead@mileone.com ) if you need help with anything and tell him Ali sent you, also check out their specials page for incredible deals.

Hey Jon,
Not meaning to diss on you specifically, I know your OG over there but some of the newer counter guys, I guess, need some time to catch up to speed on things. I hope we can get over our little X5 battery "disagreement" (which the new one I was given worked perfectly, turns out the previous battery I had recieved was indeed defective as I tried to point out).

Hopefully you guys can turn things around over there, I do feel bad I see customers there that are yelling at the counter guys.
