Great west road trip of 2008
Hi people!

Here's the skinny. I just bought a new car in ('91 e34 m5) LA, I live in Houston though. So a
friend (Layne on this forum) and I are flying out Saturday May 3rd and driving it back. Instead of
turning this into a 30 hour marathon, we're going to take it easy and cruise
around the west side of the country. For now our only plans are to start in LA
on the 3rd and head down to San Diego on the 4th for the Red Bull Air Race. Then
head back north.. maybe to Vegas, then probably to Stanford to visit some
friends. Then over to Colorado area. Other than that we'd like to be in the
Austin area about Friday the 9th. I am hoping we can meet up with some friendly
car folks along the way! Any road recommendations are welcome also. If you're
feeling particularly generous, we are looking for places to stay. OH! and I
almost forgot the most important part, food. Restaurant recommendations welcome
also!
