I know the BT issue has been discussed, but I've not seen anything like what I'm having being discussed on the forums here - and I've searched.

Here's the thing: I have an AT&T Blackberry 8100 and a 2006 530Xi with Navi. I put both in pairing modes and they find each other just fine. The problem starts when I try to put in the passkey. From the little that I know, the passkey can be whatever I want, so I set it to 0000, entered it on the phone, than confirmed it on the iDrive... Can't pair. Did it several times, with several different variations of passkey - no luck. I don't understand what it is that I'm not doing right? Can someone please help me work this out?

It's been awhile since i did this, but i remember having a "user error" inputing the digits on the idrive. Make sure you are programming with the (4) zeros as you mentioned and not (5).

When I pair my Treo 755p with my BT, I used the passkey 01234 all the time and it work. I did this several times, never had a problem pairing. Hope that help..

The blackberry always has issues with the BMW bluetooth.

GUYS! the problem was not with BT or the BB! the problem is that I am too frigin' retarded to figure out what button to press after inputting the code into the iDrive... thank you guys for helping and I'm so sorry for even poluting the forums with my dumba66 questions LOL
