This thing is a hoot. Wasnt running when I got it (glow plug fuse blown) and hadnt run in a year. Jumped it and it fired right up. This car is smooth, much nicer then I expected of a 23+ year old car. My E46 is still nicer, but this is a very good "around town" cruiser for errands at 40+ mpg.

Is there anything to look out for? The only worry I have is the timing belt has a few cracks but I will be changing that ASAP. Looks like everything else is not "crucial" and can be taken care of as needed.

i love the TD's man, awesome mpg...

make sure you do that timing belt ASAP, unless you want a blown TD with 0mpg ... ;)

shouldnt be much needed, except regular maint... take care of her and she'll take car of you for a lonnnnng time...

From what I've been told the heads tend to warp/crack when overheated, moreso than most other bimmers. Not saying that it will, but you DEFINITELY want to keep an eye on the temperature gauge and keep up with the cooling system maintenance!

Awesome find. I wish I had one myself... Or maybe I'd just swap the motor into an e30 :shifty
