Apparently M3 Auto do come with a 3.15 :) They do not. 95 M3 auto 3.23 96-99M3 auto 3.38 Someone probably pulled a fast one on sombody..If the tag was missing from the diff case then it has been swapped out, and the tag removed.... ALL BMW diffs have a metal tag with the gear on it, should have a small tag with the following 3.38 s or 3.15 s BMW never put a 3.15 in an M3 auto ever.... OR say you took the car to a shop and had a shaddy owner with a 95 M3 who wanted a 3.38 LSD.and the noob customer never noticed....Happens more than you would think... Or a guy has a 95 M3 track car an a 97 sedan and sells the sedan and swaps the diff. There's always a reason BMW didn't accidently put a diff in a car..The 3.15 in an E36 was only in the 95 M3....
