I have a 635 with the dual air system.
I did not have a aluminum heat shield that came from the factory.
I have since bought one and fitting it today.

My question is are there any spacers behind the factory heat shield?
Mine fits nice but it bumps into the "voltage regulator"
The thing that divides the front freon to the rear.

It seems like there should be a rubber spacer behind the
shield. Or something there.
What you guys got?
What (if anything) am I missing?
I checked Real OEM and could not find the shield that I have.

By the way there are 5 studs on the car that hold the heat shield on.
Looks like it needs 5 nuts and washers to complete.

Thanks

what you are looking for are 5 white plastic disks, 20 mm in dia.,9mm thick.
You could probably make them up out of any material that won't conduct the heat.

Thanks Chris,
I sectioned off some fuel line and
made it rubber mounted.
Seems to give enough stand off, and
shock mount it somewhat.
