" Police say the teen was speeding down a curvy portion of 268th street Monday night when he lost control and flew some 150 feet to his death. His mangled BMW was discovered Tuesday morning by construction worker Nathan Gillespie."
I just heard this on the news, I think it was a white BMW - I wasn't watching the TV at the time so I didn't get a chance to see what kind it was, my prayers go out to his friends & family :(

The car the kid was driving was a white E36 M3 coupe. Tragic story. My bestfriend passed from a similar accident. He had just finished swapping in his B18C5(type-r) motor into his Civic, and took it for a drive. Was going way too fast and wrecked his car. We were both 17 at the time. Now turning 21, I look back and realize how reckless we and other teenage drivers were.
Prayers go out to the family and friends.

This hit real close to home for me, I've already lost a really close friend in a car accident more than 2 years ago, and almost lost my life in my M3 - it's tragic that it took that much for me to learn to slow down, and reading something like this does nothing but reinforce that same concept into my head, I haven't gone over the speed limit in an extremely long time, it just isn't worth it anymore - I've lost 2 M3's and I'm on my third right now and I have to fix it up, I could have lost my life - and at one point I wished I had, but I've realized it's not worth it.
It takes me at most about 2 minutes more to get to work if I drive the speed limit, those 2 minutes aren't a big deal to me, and I hope nothing like this happens to anyone on here :(

It is too bad, but I hate the way they jump on the Speed Kills bandwagon. It is like saying guns kill. Speed didn't kill that inexperienced kid. His lack of technical driving skills and experience killed him.
Let this be a lesson. You want to hotrod around, learn how to do it correctly from a professional. take an advanced driving school and track school.

The friend I had that lost his life also had a similar car, B18 in a red EG hatch, it was a gorgeous car and he was an amazing guy, he lost his life on the i90/520 interchange coming from Seattle to Bellevue, his car flipped over the side of the ramp and into the mud below :(
