I've booked a convertible rental car and apparently they have 3 models: Mustang, Eclipse, and Sebring
My guess is that the Eclipse and Sebring are the 4-cyl versions and the Mustang is the 6-cyl. The pony car is also the only one with RWD...
Which one should I choose?
I'll be taking the twisty roads along the coast from San Diego back up to San Fran... so while the Mustang will have the best power, it has terrible handling... so I'm thinking Eclipse? What do you recommend?

take the Eclipse man, I use to own a Eclipse GSX model all wheel drive turbo (that's just STOCK), but that was a 1999 version. If rental company's are 2007 and up I am not sure if they come with turbo or all wheel drive...

so here is an update from our members that are down there right now..

so we left BC around 4:30pm and met up with Cole and Dave around 5pm in Blaine. Cruised down to South Center Mall and met up with Mike, David, Minh, some hottie, and a couple of others. After we put on our decals we headed out to Red Robins to grab some dinner.

We cruised out to Oregon and met up with the guys from Oregon at one of the Chevron's there, and then started our long trip to San Jose.

The cruise in general was pretty good. We hit some thick fog patches in the mountains near the Oregon coast. There were some awesome twisties and straight-aways that kept us fairly awake. Right now we've checked into the Best Western in San Jose for the night, but we'll leave at 5-6am to head to meet up with some other guys (that's the plan anyhow) and then complete the 4-5 hour drive to Santa Barbara.

So far the food has been nice and greasy but we're trying to eat as 'clean' as possibly to keep from falling asleep. Those 5hour energy drinks are disappointing. I've had like 4 and they didn't do anything for me. I did find something in a similar container called JOLT, which worked somewhat.

so we took a nap and woke up around 7. Me, Kal, Cole, "wii", and Mike hit up In-N-Out burger and met up with some of the San Jose bimmer guys. We went on a wicked cruise on this Hicks Road, which was full of twisties. The drive was probably one of the best cruises i've ever been on...i just wish i had brought my own car down.

so we got up at like 5:45am and we're getting ready to meet up with the NorCal convoy that will meet up at Gilroy around 8am.
