euro grills have the wiper openings

No difference between the US and euro grills. If you had the factory installed wiper option then they had the cutouts. Many of the wiper systems were sold as a retro fit and installed by the dealer depending on the requirements for that country. If you look at grills, you will see the area marked for the cutouts even on the US cars.

the chrome/shiny reflectors behind the lenses... makes the bulb scatter light behind the lense.

euro reflectors will be skinnier than US spec, which flares out to accomidate the ugly wide US lenses.
