Is anyone else really excited? I'm ready to go now! My best friend is trying to buy a e34 M5 in CA, so I'm stoked for a huge road trip right after sharkfest!

Welp, it looks like I am out. :(

My six is still in pieces and there is no hope of having it back to road worthiness by tomorrow, or Friday, or Saturday for that matter. I have been working late at night on it and still have not got it finished.

I already paid my fee, so if anyone has not paid yet, I'll donate my registration to anyone who has not paid theirs yet.

W/S or bust here as well. The car is as ready as it's going to get, except the new diff I installed is starting to weep at the flange seals. About to go fill it up(after I take out a F*&king 2nd mortgage) and do just a bit of spirited driving just to give it a little stress test. Although, I have been driving it more the last couple of weeks.

I damn near screwed myself last night. While gathering parts for the swap meet, I found a new looking trunk latch. I marked the old dirty one & installed the replacement only to find the trunk was now sealed like a vault and would not open. After a short panic & some choice words, I finally got it open by pushing on the release and pounding the lid towards the front of the car. It finally opened to much relief.

What, you don't have another vehicle? No one will mind if you are 6-less. C'mon on anyway!

The Alpina is sleeping soundly on the lift and I am riding the fat-bottom turbo girl. Wife call it a hippie chick aka the dually. She's ready to go and is sporting a new pair of sneakers (6 17" load range tires definately ate into the wallet).

I do buddy, but it aint the same.

This is about sharks AND their owners. I dont think my TT could handle the 900+ miles at an average of 80 mph or better. This really sucks, I wanted to go sooo bad, I havent had a vacation in three plus years. :(

I'll only be there saturday at around 8 through sunday morning, and I'll be driving my civic. But I see an opportunity in this swap meet thing. Maybe I can get rid of stuff from my garage.
I've got to work Friday until 10-11 ish. Then I gotta be back by 5 sunday afternoon.
oh well.

Hey, I'm going to need a ride from W/S to the Raleigh airport about that time, and I'm not certain that I have one lined up. Is the airport near where your going? Can I use you as a backup?
