dustent 04-22-2008, 08:55 PM I've seen a couple nicer BMWs in the area lately, speak up!
Silver e36 m3 coupe, lowered, angel eyes, possibly 18" CSLs, woman driving, out of state plates, pulling out of Barriques wine/coffee store. Hot and clean.
Black 5 series with license plates IL SUIT U or something like that. Drives on the west side a lot.
Black e36 m3 that was at the Honda-Tech meet with Sachin. Get me your name and phone number and I'll add you to my list of numbers to call when it's time to meet up.
nort0188 04-23-2008, 08:21 PM I saw your car today :dunno
Also saw an M6 actually on the road for the first time.

Where? I was out on the West side today for a bit, tracking down some 15w50 Mobile One for the red dragon. Turns out Wal-Mart sells it by the quart for $5.69 which is probably the cheapest in town, especially since oil prices have gone up so much recently.
I saw an m6 outside of Chicago last weekend too, not surprising it was connected to a gas station pump. :D

Buying oil at Wal-Mart FTW. Its always been the cheapest around here.

Oh that's funny, I used to live in Swan Creek (just down E Cheryl, as I'm sure you know) until May of last year when I moved to Waunakee. So ... I'm guessing Berbee?

Yep, been with Berbee for almost 3 years now. E Cheryl is kinda fun to go blasting down, as long as there aren't any bikes or joggers.

Cheryl is fun, as well as the road that runs behind the Eagle elementary school. Well, at least it was last year when the road was done and there were absolutely no buildings, which meant a blast-o-rama!
Edit: Oh, and keep up the good work ... I think you folks (Berbee) are the backup for us at the Investment Board if I recall correctly.

Yep, that's a fun one too, but with the roundabouts, day care and elementary school right there I need to behave myself. :evil2
I wouldn't be surprised if Berbee was providing services for you, it seems everyone I talk to knows us. Kinda cool. :alright

A short stretch to be sure, and I'd typically make runs on my way home from work, when the school and day care were emptied out. It's not John Nolen eastbound Beltline offramp quality (so THAT's why my stock RE050's went away in 9k miles!), but still pretty good.

This is true. I'm always tempted to do a clutch kick on that off ramp and drift around it, fast and the furious style, but I'm too big of a chicken shit...and I'd probably crash.

I can't count the number of times that I have hung the tail out on that offramp, mostly through lift-throttle oversteer. I don't know if the E90 chassis inspires more confidence than any of the earlier versions you have/are driving, but I never feel like it's going to be an issue. Especially now with my RE-01R's, which are way more predictable (and grippy) than the RE050's were.

Oh don't get me wrong, a little tail slide is one thing, but I'm talking full out smoke show style.

Ah, see not a problem when you only have 215 hp! Must resist the E90 335i & M3 ... must resist, very bad for the license ...

My daily routine has me going to Buick for mail, then M&I on Fish Hatch, so the "logical" choice for the way back to BMW is E. Cheryl. Should be a lot of fun now that we have a 135i 6MT demo car :)

Nice! I'll keep an eye out for you in the 1er. I still need to stop in there and take a test drive in the 135.

snuggz 05-12-2008, 03:59 AM I keep seeing a Dakar E36 M3/4 around, east side, WI plates. There can't be THAT many dakar M3/4s out there -- anyone seen this thing?
Also, pulling out of the lot yesterday (after finishing up my new [read:louder] exhaust) an E60 M5 just plain flew past me...
Todd -- Do you work at SWIB?

Snuggz - We need to meet up so I can check out your exhaust. Are you running cats?

I see him everywhere... downtown, MATC, Hartmeyer, the dealer, etc etc...
Dave (MadCityBMW or something like that) knows him.

Wonder if he's new to Madison, I saw a Dakar 4 dr a while ago on 12/18 with out of state plates.
nort0188 05-12-2008, 10:04 PM I've seen him around for years... since I moved back here from MN in winter of 05/06.
snuggz 05-17-2008, 11:44 AM Spotted: clean, red E30 with a frikkin' HUGE intercooler. I was pulling out of work and didn't get a good look at it, but it was defiantly dropped and blown... anyone seen this guy?
