I appologize if this is a topic that has already been discussed. I used the search tool and found many TMPS topics, but none that specifically walk through the reset process. Before you ask, no I don't have an owners manual, it never got put back in the glovebox after my last service at the dealership.

I own a 2007 530i and recently purchased a set of aftermarket wheels and tires and had new TPMS sensors installed rather than dimounting the stockers. Every time I start up the car I get the "ding" and the warning on the dash, however it is different than the "low tire pressure" warning. Just to be safe I checked the pressure in the tires and they are all fine. A friend told me the new sensor had to be calibrated to the system, is that a true statement? If so can someone walk me through the process, or is this something I will have to return to my dealership service department for?

Thanks in addvance,

Push the Menu button so you return to the main screen. Push down on the idrive button and you will get to the setup screen. You should be able to find the tire option through that menu.

Thanks, I'm going to go out and give it a shot right now.

Thank you, it worked...I guess I should have been able to figure that out on my own. I still find the iDrive complicated, I forget how much stuff it actually does and with no manual handy it's all a guessing game.

Thanks again,
