I appologize if this is a topic that has already been discussed. I used the search tool and found many TMPS topics, but none that specifically walk through the reset process. Before you ask, no I don't have an owners manual, it never got put back in the glovebox after my last service at the dealership.
I own a 2007 530i and recently purchased a set of aftermarket wheels and tires and had new TPMS sensors installed rather than dimounting the stockers. Every time I start up the car I get the "ding" and the warning on the dash, however it is different than the "low tire pressure" warning. Just to be safe I checked the pressure in the tires and they are all fine. A friend told me the new sensor had to be calibrated to the system, is that a true statement? If so can someone walk me through the process, or is this something I will have to return to my dealership service department for?
Thanks in addvance,
