This is a rare discontinued UUC strut bar. It is hingeless and probably the strongest out there. It is all aluminum so it is lightweight.

Is the rod steel and the ends aluminum?

The ends are aluminium. The rod may be steel...but I would think steel would be heavier than what this bar feels like it weighs. So, with that being said, the bar may not be steel, but it is the most solid bar i've ever seen. I really wish I could use it.

Its not as heavy as I would think steel would be if that helps at all...
