I have been hearing about the new 135i and how people were drooling over it at the autoshow etc. Well it might be a new model and might save a little on gas but the price tag at SFBMW was 47k and change. Not quite what I would consider entry level.

BMW is not entry level, and any attempt at being such is half hearted at best. You've got to give the people what they want, and people want fast BMWs. Even if BMW did make a 115i with steel wheels and cloth seats, the price would be absurd up next to true entry level cars. BMW does what they were made to do, and other companies take up whats left. The 1 series is a result of overgrown BMWs. The 3 series is the new 5 series, and the 1 series replaces the old 3 series. There's still a longing in many driving enthusiast for small cars like the E30 M3 and 2002, and BMW forgot about them for a while, I'm glad they came back.

yeah, it's not supposed to be an entry-level car, it's an entry-level BMW.

Meh, for what its worth, I would not touch that.

Nor would I touch a 335, 535 (5XX), etc .......

Man, get me an older 2002, or a 3.0, THATS a BMW. Sorry folks, just a fanboy here. The new bimmers are great, but, they're NOT for me.

The latest issue of the Roundel has a 2002 turbo rebuild in it. Mother of mio, talk about a wet dream on four pieces of rubber. I NEED to win the lottery.
