I've looked everywhere, searched all forums and can't find the answer I need. Can I just add an amp and a sub to the factory system? I don't have the wiring diagrams for the radio. My Bentley PDF does not have them for the radio system. I have looked in the trunk and don't see a factory amp. I just want to hook up another amp to run a sub. Thats all. How hard can it be? Well I'm stuck and would like to see if any one else has done this mod. Thanks. I have a 1994 530i with 146,000 miles. Oriental Blue. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and love it.

Got the radio code. I took apart my trunk carpet and don't remember seeing the amp there. I will look again. Found the info at bmwe34.net. I was just looking here. Sorry. Thanks for the quick info.

yes
hint; 'amp bypass' will have the pinout for you to connect a LOC and the remote wire.

Line Out Convertor. I got mine at Best Buy (only cause they are only a few miles away) for $25. You can find online a little cheaper. Converts high lever speaker signal to low level.

Got it Thanks, again. One more thing- where do I get the rest of the wiring diagrams from? My PDF only has 459 pages and seems to be missing some of the electrical diagrams. It only goes to 26-EWD. the radio stuff is on EWD-205.

your amp is in the back left corner by the way.

Also look in the links on http://www.e38.org/e34/
warning. they are sometimes wrong on either connector types, connector locations or colors so test twice
I've found a couple of mistakes myself.
But for what you are asking you don't need em...
look in the DIY thread stickied at the top of the forum...
Look under Stereo: for something 'amp bypass'. There is a picture in there that will let you figure out which wire runs what speaker at the input connector, and which is the remote wire. that is all you need to know.
