For all those people who think you will break the new fan shroud with the fan on, it isnt true. It was a piece of cake. It took me 3 minutes, the hardest part was getting the retaining clips in. Had to use pliers because i am not yet strong enough :D Anyways, my car runs cooler now. It used to always run at say 52, now its at like 50. Its cool has little rubber flaps on the side, so when there is a chance for air to flow it can.

Your car used to run at 52, now it runs at 50? What are those numbers and what exactly is taking the reading?

Yeah, I think I got the fan shroud for my 540i at BavAuto. It went right in. I just had to pull the old one out.
I assume he doesn't mean install it while the engine is running. I'd guess he heard he had to pull the radiator fan off to install the fan shroud which wasn't needed in my application anyway.

i mean did you squeeze the fan shround in or something? No, it fit just fine, i may have had to squeeze it a little bit, but it was fine

Why would i install the fan shroud with the engine running. I like all my fingers just the way they are. And yes, i heard before that i had to reomove the fan to get the shroud in, otherwise id break the shroud. Toataly not true.
