did you fabricate those yourself(back)? they look like they will do something on the lines of horizontal movement, but not on lateral movement, but im not sure if that is really a big deal or not, or if im just speaking giberish?

Did you make those yourself? I know Mr. Project made some supports similar to those a little while ago

Mr. Project usually posts his stuff up pretty early.
i'm a little slower
I usually mess up 5 or 6 designs, till I have something that I wont be ridiculed for.

I am planning on making both front and rear bars for my car when I am able to find time, unfortunately the front one I have already made won't fit with the m30 under the hood. I really like the rear set upl in the touring, good job

may I ask how you cut the ends for the front strut bar out? I had a lot of filing to do after I cut mine out to make them look good...

Wow, that should just about cover it! I would think that would be a major boon to structure back there, nice work.

zoiks! that looks like it should definitely help, especially the rear. i like the fact that it's triangulated, that's definitely the key to rigidity.

That would be the torch bed at work. just plotted in the circles.
I did make a couple for the e28's that after I made the circles that I bent them to get between the ridges on the top of the strut tower. on the ones for the touring , I cut some 1 1/4" roundstock about a 1/4" thick and drilled a hole in offset of center. then notched out the ring for clearance of the nuts.(picked up a bag of lock nuts at Parkrose hardware that are not as tall and can engage the lock section) when fit where I wanted, welded the notched ring to the three feet. If you do it this way you don't have to carve out a huge hole and weaken the ring, the dust covers need to stay out though.
I got three more to make and I'll probably cut a couple of extra rings.

tfritz, I'll give you a hollar when I get some blanks cut.
