I was hoping to get some assistance from anyone who has installed the Bilstein HD's in their E34 before.

I've got a 1995 540i-6. The front install went fine. The rear shocks appear to be quite a bit shorter than the stock BOGE shocks, like 3" with the piston fully extended. The part number on the bilsteins is F4-B46-1221-H0 which I ordered as a kit from Turner. The part number on the BOGE rear shock is 3352-1 139 889.

I was wondering if the anyone remembers having to really compress the springs in the rear an extra 3" during the install. I was also wondering if I'm missing hardware here. Particularly spring perchs which don't appear to come off of the BOGE shocks. I wonder if it's possible that these aren't the stock rear shocks and they're in there from some other BMW.

Any suggestions or recollections would be super helpful. Thanks!

Mystery solved. Turner motorsports sent me the shocks for a GM F-body not an E34. F4-B46-1121-H0 instead of the F4-B46-1221-H0.

Hopefully Turner motorsports doesn't charge me their 20% restocking fee for their mistake. The packing slip says F4-B46-1221-H0 on it, but those aren't the shocks I got.
