My only question is: why do you have Alpine White 2008 M5 in your car description? typo?

HMMM... I had my first sighting of the e92 m3 in ny today... wonder if it was you. Alot of people say the car is ugly and at first agreed but it grew on me and even looks much better in person roling down the street. Looks smaller in person than on paper too. Either way im happy for you but one question? M5 or M3?

It might sound strange but they are two different driving experiences. The M5 is fast, spacious, luxurious and easy on the road. The M3 (V8) is sneaky fast, comfortable, nimble, rigid, quick but with all of this, the jury is still out.

I bought the M5 in December 07, and the M3 as I stated above a few weeks back...

To answer your question, I choose the M5 right now.

Honestly, with all the different suspension setups and dyanmic adjustments they have, i didnt think there would be much difference between them other than speed and size. Is the m5 that much faster and the m3 that much nimbler? I mean to the point where a persons preference for one or the other would have them without a doubt knowing which car they would buy?

Well, the ///M as you know has different parts for higher performance versus the non-Ms.

The difference honestly is very noticeable. I have been very fortunate to own/drive every model from the 3 to the 7 and the 3(E46 M), the current E92 M, E60 M, and E64 M.:alright

Nonetheless, Each car has its own driving characteristics. The Mid to Top-end the M5 is faster (Stronger). The M3 is less roomier but comfortable. The current M3 like it's predecessor road sensory race track like... Turning on the EDC for the M5 will activate increased road sensory as well.

In the end, the main difference IMO between the M3 and M5 is (So far), the M3 is a personal one-on-one sports coupe experience while the M5 (Sedan), has a increased sportiness as well but more luxurized; AND POWERFUL, very powerful.

I am driving the M3 to get more reps with it... To be continued...:D

+1 for that. I am interested. Let me know if you can get more people interested.
I was there 2 years ago when BMW had an M3 showcase and many M3 owners (some from the US) brought in their cars and put them on display. It was great spectacle and the BMW Williams F1 team racers were also there on hand to answer questions. They also unveiled the M5 and M6 at that time. Great times.

Great seeing you again. Was the trip back good for ya?

You made it to the forum... Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the complement.

Yes, this one is the 6-Speed tranny with a clutch. :D

It was great to see you and the family again too. The trip was easy. It took me 6.5 hours to make it back.
