I am trying to upload a new program into my DME through my 20 pin connector but I am getting a "check voltage" error with the software. I tested the voltage and at pins (see pic) 18, 19, 20 I have 0 volts. At pin 14 there is 11.9v, at pin 15 there is 2.3 volts, and pin 16 there is 11.7 volts.

I can read my dme without a problem but it will not write to it. Do these voltage numbers look correct? Any ideas of what I can do?

Thanks in advance.

HIOP told me that I need at least 13 volts, so I hooked up a battery charger and my voltage is well over 13 volts but I still can not write to the dme.

Is it possible for a dme to "block out" new information?

The error says there is not sufficient voltage at pin 60, which is the "programming voltage input - diagnostic connector" on the wiring schematics for an S50B32. I am testing these pins with my ignition on and the voltage is there.

Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Your battery charger is not the one !!

Because it is not giving enough Amp to the ECU ( Good 13V but Bad Amp)

I used a 40amp high output charger that I borrowed from a garage. I was hoping it would be enough. What do you recommend?

Do not use that charger it is wrong tool to use with that, you need a power supply.
You can get that from any Electric Store , this is what i have got to use but you do not have to get it since you gonna use it once or twice!!......
Try to get something close to it ,mine is the PSP-1000-15

Do you have the Hiop software? So this psp hooks up to your car or computer? Are there any wires required?

Hiop told me that I should not require an external power source as long as I have a strong battery. I purchased a new battery but the information did not upload.

i have something close to yours.
If they told you that it might be the way you try to write the file, try this for now:
1- Start the softwere.
2- connect the cable to you Computer.
3- Connect the other end to te car.
4- Switch the key to the start position(Do not fire the engine).
5- make sure everything is off accept for dashboard lights they must be on.
6- start writting the file.

I hoop this works!!!
