So excluding the time to mount the nozzles and drill the manifold... I spent 4 hrs bending tubing tonight... .I never want to do this again, I feel bad for anyone who does this for a profession!

Pressure tested yet?

Pressure what - the nozzles are all epoxied and the connections at each nozzle are flared perfect

glued into the manifold? scary :) im sure itll be ok though...id hate to think if the epoxy gave out and let you spray fuel and nitrous all over your engine bay.....

They are threaded in... and then epoxied as a sort of thread locker.

Why are they set in at an angle?

Lol, I'm a moron. I didn't even really look at the pics, my brain just threw some brazed connections in there that aren't in there. Too many shop hours this week I guess.

ETA on car running?

Gotta run up this weekend and re-do my throttle body (i didnt clear coat the previous powder coat, and welding the TB damaged it further) and powder coat the turbo housing, then I am coming home and putting it back together, start up this week? Maybe!

So how easy would it be to take apart the nitrous system if needed?

And please have 'BlownEuroz' machined into the box.

5mall5nail5
04-19-2008, 11:39 AM
Fairly easy to take apart if I had to

We'll probably machine the block later on

Good Deal. I hate to say it, but I'm not a fan of the tubing. Don't get me wrong, it looks bad-ass, but I thought you were dong the minimalist look for the engine bay.

Where did you get all the fittings and fuel rail?

Those pieces are jewelry.

Amazing work.

What are you going to do about the drivetrain?

lol minimalist? what gave you that impression? bright red fuel rail, purple wiggins clamps and a 76mm turbo sitting up pretty.... hardly minimalist

lol, man that looks good. Im glad you kept the red fuel rail. But on the tubbing remark, i think he meant you would use like hose or something. Like braieded steal hose. Also, can you get those tubes anodized? i.e. red, or purple?

looks freaking amazing

Absolutley. I only have a simple single nozle wet system. ;)

Did you just drill and tap the intake manifold? I would be nervous about the plastics ability to hold all those fittings under the etreme pressure you intend to subjct it to.

Looks awesome!

I did drill and tap. Ideally I want a sheetmetal intake - we'll see how it works. I'll be boosting without nitrous for awhile to get comfy with the setup and see how it holds up.

Jetted for 225 hp :devillook

Gotta... powder coat the turbo housing...

Does powder coat stand up to that temperature? ...or are you just doing the compressor scroll case? (just curious)

You can only powder coat the compressor housing. The turbine housing is ceramic coated

Ok, wrong view of minimalist. I had the impression that you were hiding all the wires and with the nitrous tubes it looks all crowded again.

What's the word on temp differential on the intake and potential for cracking, due to it being plastic? I would think the nitrous would severely chill things out, and the forced air would be pretty warm.

Just curious if it's a common problem or whatnot, you'd know better than I would.

5mall5nail5
04-19-2008, 03:49 PM
Not a problem really - I sprayed through the throttle body previous. My air intake temps are usually < 100F wide open. The direct port is close to the intake valve that the stream is usually not in contact much with the runner at all
