I changed my stock clutch for a Rogue engineering kit with ightweight flywheel.

Now the gear changing in auto mode is weird ... specialy the downshifting.
the time that the engine cuts the ingnition is not matched.

As the clutch is more agressive, the launch is rough too.

Do anyone knows if there is something that can be regulated ???

Under load and in manual mode, the car runs perfectly, and seems to be faster in first and second gear.

But it really needs a closer gear ratio ... I spent a month or with riding my Evo everyday, and when I got my M3 was a shock ... the car felt so smooth, but slow and very, but very tall.

I'm planning a final gear changing, for 4.10 ???

What do you guys suggest, as my car already revs 8000 rpms ?

sorry for the bad english

best, Eduardo

Exactly the reason why I chose to keep the stock clutch when I replaced mine.

You can put a shorter diff on a SMG car and it will work, however when you shift above 3500 RPM it will throw error codes, because it thinks the speed of the car doesn't match the gearbox speed. It will restore itself after a sec or so but it can sometimes be irritating.

I have 3.62 from an E46 M3 on my car and find it a very good ratio for daily use :)

but what kind of error codes ???

And how it affects your ride quality ?

It will give you a error code that the gearboxes input and outputspeed are not correct.

The yellow transmission light on the dash will light up for a few seconds. But before you reach redline the error has restored itself again. So it is not really in the way, just annoying. If you upshift sooner when the light is still on, the car won't go in gear so you bounce off the shift limiter for a sec. That's the only real drawback.

I thought you are not supposed to change the final drive on SMG cars...because it will not know the right RPM to engage the clutch back in, especially in downshifts...I am sure this is just something with the program of the SMG, although I haven't found anyone who has the ability to modify this.
