the nissan crapped out on me.:madlazy POS only ran 243K...that being said, anyone have an oilpan for an m20? rods and mains are on the way, should be here in about 3-4 days. head is nearly ready, trying to work onthe car around school and work sucks balls. Especially now that i have to drive my grandad's cadillac for the interim.

Which is nice,:D but i don't wanna be held responsible if some fucknut nails it at school.:mad

So...i need an M20 oilpan. That's tha last on the list.

Sounds like there are lots of people scrambling to get their cars ready for the season. All I have left to do is scrape out all of that silicone that didn't harden, clean it and use some good stuff to fix the ac line water leak. Then mount tires and flog away.

I'll keep an eye out in the yards for those parts, but it's been slim pickin's for the past couple months, only 2 e30s and both had cracked pans.

Found one out east, i think he asked $95 for it, waiting on a reply.

EMS conference Saturday plus a 12 hour shift sunday prevented me from working on the beast, so guess what i do tonight?

search www.car-part.com Its a nation wide junkyard webpage. I have found a lot of good parts on there for my turbo build for my 75 2002.

Cool, none of the stuff I have are needed to make the car drivable, they're just on the 'nice to have, but usually broken anyway' list. :)

Lets shoot for sometime next week?

Update...

Motor and tranny came out yesterday morning, after a little blood and a few four letter words.

Don't just run in off the street to buy a clutch pack from Napa, either. at $431 a piece, i debated buying two just to have on for a spare. Now i am gonna call my guy and see what he can do, since i figured the clutch doesn't look too good amd i am already there:D

Pics prolly in the next couple of days, as things progress. I doubt i'll do a DIY, since right now i barely even know what i am doing:rofl

So if all goes according to plan, I should be driving a bimmer again in about 2-3 weeks.

Just so you don't forget, get the throwout bearing, it was pretty noisy although the clutch grabbed fine. :dunno

yeah i didn't forget the throwout, the clutch isn't too bad, but it is glazed in a couple spots and scored pretty heavily around the outer edges, so i figured while i was there...:D
