I ordered a MAF sensor for my 2001 E38 from these guys April 3. they immediately emailed an order number, but I have yet to receive the part. I emailed last week, but no response. Called today and got an answering machine and they did not return my call.
Anyone know anything about these guys? I need to get this car back on the road.:help

Actually, I don't believe they have billed my card. They just sent me the following email on 04/03:

To me this appeared that they had the part and would be shipping shortly. I have not been able to get them to respond to email or even answer the phone. I emailed, today for them to cancel the order. If they don't have the part, I understand. But, in my opinion, to leave me hanging for nearly two weeks, with no response, is poor business practice.

Rossgn, sorry to hear about your experience with Elautoparts but I'm not surprised.
I too have had BAD experiences with Elautoparts. And as the old saying goes:
THREE STRIKES-YOU'RE OUT!
My first order took 1 week to process and when they did they ship it, it was missing one item. Funny considering the order only had 4 items.
Letting that experience go, I decided to try a second time. This time the order arrives with everything EXCEPT THAT one of the oil filters I ordered has greasy finger prints all over the box and the gasket is missing from the box. Almost like they were going to use it on a repair and then decided to just use the gasket or lose it. Guess this appears normal for them as the sent another one as a replacement and told me to keep the greasy filter. How nice of them!
Ok they seemed to make right the second time around, so I go for a third and LAST time. Within this order of suspension parts, I order a replacement bulb for my headlight. Can you believe they sent me someone else's order?!! Then when they tried to correct that, they shipped EVERYTHING in a Tyvek envelope!!!! (I guess to minimize their loss in shipping charges on the replacement order they decide shipping an envelope is cheaper than a box). I mean what's the difference-1 lbs in weight?!!! Come on!
Needless to say, when the bulb arrived it, glass was all over the inside of the envelope. When I let them know about the broken bulb, they asked if I wanted a replacement or refund. Since I told them, I was afraid what would happen given my experiences and how fragile a bulb is, I took the offer of a refund. 4 days later I followed up to see the status of the refund. They tell me they need me to send the bulb back for a refund.
I review the email from 4 days earlier offering the replacement or refund and the offer to get a refund never mentioned sending the bulb back and I don't know how many people out there would keep a broken bulb around but I threw away the envelope and bulb the day after I received it and the refund was offered ( I mean who keeps an envelope around with broken glass when someone can accidentally cut themselves?!! or who would suggest sending back broken bulbs when they can get cut as well?!!!) Anyway, they decided since it was thrown away, they had no obligation to refund the $8 for the bulb.
Save yourself some time and possible aggravation, there are plenty of other parts vendors out there, ElAUTOPARTS isn't one of them worth my time. Stick with Tischer aka Mileone, Crown, Pelican, Bavauto, Autohausaz. After all, they sell the same parts. Many a times they just act as parts brokers through Worldpac. What separates one from another is the customer service or attitude one has. ELAUTOPARTS has neither good customer service nor good attitude. A search of FL Better Business Bureau shows unanswered complaints as well.
BUYER BEWARE!!
