I just got my '04 530i (2004/08 Production Date) with Adaptive Xenon Lighting back from the shop (Local BMW Dealer) where I had asked for the DRL's to be activated. They said they cant because no DRL's installed. I have been reading the various DRL threads on this and other forums and have never seen anybody raise the issue of NOT having DRL's. The issue as been as to whether one can access the setting from iDrive or that it had to be done at the dealer. Does anybody have any insight into this one?

sounds like they just didnt want to do it or forgot to do it. Try a new dealer

There is no DRL feature thru I-drive on older 5s. It has to be done at the dealer. I had mine turned off last week at the dealer.

I have an '05 and just had the DRLs activated at the dealer.
