hey guys, my name is Aeon; im currently in the national guard and found out some great news. well only if things go well. well my base is in so cal and we have a little air strip. the news is that we're allowed to have shows and different things on the air strip. they already have an annual car show out there every year and i was thinking about adding another one. i was thinking of having like a meet with enthusiasts and vendors where on can interact with the other. also they do close down the air strip so i was thinking on one half we can hold the meet/sho/vendors and on the other half we can have maybe a little 1/4 mile track and/or if theres enough space have a little technical course setup. just a feeler for now to see what you guys think of it. if you guys like it i just have to go through the processes and we'll have our little meet. thanks for your time. please comment back!

haha yeah. im going to bimmerfest and i plan on going to some autocross events. just seeing if you guys would want something to go to a little closer to home. just thinking and brainstorming.

its actually in los alamitos. near long beach. if you guys could spread the word i just need to see how many people are actually interested. i know our runway is pretty well maintained. were actually hosting a speed channel event in the next month or so. the 09 m3 is gonna be on our tarmac!!! along with a few other new cars such as the is-f, zr-1 i think the 997s ect. well yeah its pretty good and flat so a drag strip or technical course is very possible. well yeah just spread it around the forums.

We look into this for San Diego BMW CCA, and basically came to terms that anybody that would be at a proposed event, would have to submit their personal information a month or two in advance for background checks, and would have to present ID the day of and be on the pre-authorized list, no exceptions. Also lots of restrictions based on noise levels, etc... and this was with an "in".

Maybe it's less restrictive at your base, but from my experience... it's gonna be tough.

yeah i feel you. we always have car shows at the base and my buddy knows someone in pao so yeah. thats how they got speed channel in. yeah, thats why i did this feeler, i didnt wanna go through all the hastel and not have anyone show. and hopefully if it all runs well we can have one every year! =D

just have your dad drive you in. we'll probably have waiver forms maid up for unlicensed drivers. im also looking into having paramedics there. basically everything that they'd need. try to make it as professional as i can get it.

haha. well been getting some positive feed back im gonna start more research on it today. gonna get more people to help me so hopefully we can get this going. might be a little while before i get an actual date though. please feel free to leave more feedback. and hopefully all turns out well.

i think you should set it up sometime in the late summer, so it is kinda a mirror to bimmerfest. talk to a lot of venders and get it started man.

yeah its gonna be after bimmerfest for sure. i still have to write a proposal and get an okay from the commander and stuff.
