Congarts Bill. I assume you turned in that beautiful E46 M3 of yours and could not be more delighted. I am down to my short short list on a new E92. Jerez Balck with Fox Red or Alpine White with Black. Both are great looking in my mind. I need to just make the call and pull the trigger. I can pick up the black on on Saturday. The white one is built and will arrive in four weeks.

I did trade it in. I am thrilled to death with the new one. You should go with white...best color choice, IMHO!

Im really partial to Alpine White with black interior. The white just seems to always look cleaner and crisper than the others as they wear. Even pebble dings on the front air dam.. on dark cars, they show up as just so many white specs.. On a white air dam, though, they dont show nearly as much. As for the inevitable clear coat layer scratches as the kind you get if you drag your finger across the paint thats got dust in it.. those types of light scratches that are easy to remove with a good polish show up so much less on white than dark colors. Even scratches that go Into the clearcoat layer too deeply to do anything more than round the edges off of... they even look way less visible on white. Ive had my alpine white '99 M3 since it was new in '99, and even now, 9 yrs later, it still looks amazing. I think ive decided that all my cars will be white from now on. Oh, and as for doing minor touchups, there's nothing more disouraging than trying to get a good touchup result with any kind of metallic color... Its just real hard to get it to match, and even worse when you need a large panel repainted.. Even the pros have trouble with it. If the metal flake doesnt lay down exactly like stock , youll get shading. Again, Advantage White!! :)

Looking at that fresh bumper makes me cringe when I think of someone having to drill a front plate on <shudders>

Awesome car.

I saw you last weekend on Friday night driving down Piedmont. I have not been on in a while and forgot to report my spotting.

Looks great! Congrats. I just put in my order for a convertible. I am torn between white and red exterior. I have a week to finalize my decision!
