Morontron 04-16-2008, 03:11 AM Posted on autotrader as well-

Morontron 04-17-2008, 01:16 AM Does anyone have any opinions or anything as far as pricing? It's just under KBB but I don't know how accurate that'd be.
filamqc 04-17-2008, 01:30 AM It looks nice & clean enough.... $7k is probably the ceiling, but maybe $6k or under would be more realistic if you want to sell it fast. I had one (see sig) with the same mileage and sold it for $5,500 in 3 months ago... Good luck! Nice ride!!
Bmmr2neR 04-18-2008, 02:11 AM Yikes.
Morontron 04-18-2008, 11:44 AM Why yikes?
Morontron 04-19-2008, 01:08 PM If yikes is on the price, it's below blue book. For a low mileage coupe with 5 speed and sports package, it's a good price.
I'd love to sell this car today...
twhlax3 04-19-2008, 01:13 PM looks like a really clean, low mileage e36.. with the sport package too.
7k seems like a good starting point.. wish i could pick this one up..
good luck!!
aakgiray 04-19-2008, 03:57 PM just sold my car. wish i could pick this up but i need time to gather some finances. G/L with the sale!
eurocar328 04-19-2008, 11:37 PM how does your car have ASC? its a 95... I thought ASC was only an OBD2 option :confused
Delphin 04-20-2008, 12:10 AM Not to sound like a dick, but unfortunately KBB doesn't set the price on these cars, the market does. It's a damn good looking ride though I'd pay 6k if I had the cash. Maybe throw in a side pic so people can see the stance?
e36mtrsprt 04-20-2008, 02:47 AM Yikes.:stickoutt
Morontron 04-20-2008, 04:24 PM Here's a sideview as requested :)

And for those of you wondering about the ASC, here's a picture of that. And it definately works because it's saved me from dying once or twice.

ASC button on the left, OEM alarm blinker on the right :)
Morontron 04-21-2008, 04:27 PM Bump
If you know anyone who is looking please get them in touch with me :)
MagnumX 04-21-2008, 06:48 PM I think it is a fair price, people will give you what you are looking for but you will have better luck outside any bmw forums especially this one.
PocketPlayer 04-21-2008, 07:53 PM What doesn't work on the car? a/c, electrical, etc.
What repairs have u done? cooling system, brakes, clutch, etc
What owner are you...1st, 2nd...? How long have U owned the car?
Price is high...you would need serious mods to justify and I don't see many.
Look at threads to get an idea...more than just a few.
I live 45 miles from you
Morontron 04-21-2008, 08:43 PM Everything works great. There aren't even any dead pixels on the OBC.
No dings anywhere. There are a few surface scratches but nothing noticable. The car shows very well.
New waterpump, thermostat, thermostat housing, all belts, and drive belt tensioner were done at 78k
The inspection II was done on time.
I am the 3rd owner.
I have paperwork for myself and the last owner but the original owner did not keep the paperwork. It was under warranty though, obviously all the scheduled maintenance was done.
Yes, it's stock. If you're looking for a car that already has mods, then buy one, because it's worth less with mods anyways.
gettingthatflow 04-21-2008, 09:44 PM -26.1 current average MPG
how do you manage this? only driving highway?
ciz28 04-21-2008, 11:10 PM How is the suspension on it? Just to give you an idea on pricing, I sold the exact same car 10 months ago with 84k miles and new waterpump, shocks, struts, LCABs, tie rod ends, etc for $6800, just $400 under NADA price in one day. I think if it's clean and solid, $7k is a good starting point. Good luck with your sale.
Morontron 04-22-2008, 02:07 AM -26.1 current average MPG
how do you manage this? only driving highway?
My commute to work is about 15 miles each way and there's never any traffic. I'm not really a lead foot, I just take it easy especially going to work. So yeah I'm mostly doing highway driving and going like 65 to 70 in the slow lane enjoying my music.
Ciz- thank you for the advice. I am totally willing to negotiate price, but I'm not gonna do it online, you know what I mean? Show up at my house with a check and we'll absolutely talk.
Morontron 04-23-2008, 03:40 PM Bump! Any other pictures that anyone would be interested in seeing?
Just a thought on why you aren't getting lots of bites on this board, people on BFC are car enthusiasts as you know, and know the market price of BMW's. That being said, buyers know that an OBD I and perhaps an OBDII M3 can be had for an extra couple of thousand more than your asking price. Granted that these said M3's are not as clean as your ride, folks on this board would be willing to sacrifice cosmetics and higher mileage M3's for performance.
Is your car listed in Craigslist and Autotrader? If not I would highly reccommend you list them there.
Hope that helps and hope you sell your car soon.
jason325is 04-23-2008, 07:59 PM I think it is a fair price, people will give you what you are looking for but you will have better luck outside any bmw forums especially this one.
+1... 7k sounds about right outside of an enthusiast site, but here probably 6k top. good luck with your sale
AufDeutschBitte 04-23-2008, 09:31 PM +1... 7k sounds about right outside of an enthusiast site, but here probably 6k top. good luck with your sale
Or it could be the other way around.... Some people don't mind spending marginally more when they know what they are looking for. Like enthusiasts.
I think its a clean car and legit price for someone who has themselves invested in it to a degree, GL with sale.
Morontron 04-24-2008, 07:51 PM Wow I really appreciate the helpful posts, that makes a lot more sense.
You're right all the calls I've gotten so far other than one have been from my autotrader ad.
IDK I'd love to sell it to an enthusiast but it seems like people on this forum are exclusively interested in cars with mods.
If this car were on the east coast I would pick it up ASAP
eurocar328 04-25-2008, 12:22 AM Id offer you something, but It wont be 7000. Seems like youre pretty firm on it but Im 50 min away and kinda interested :dunno
Morontron 04-25-2008, 02:34 AM Pfft- you live in Malibu! How're you gonna lowball me? :) lol
I'm not completely firm on the price. I'd probably accept $6500 from an enthusiast.
Morontron 04-26-2008, 03:24 PM Buy it, freshly detailed with a fully tank of gas! :)
dimslo325ci 04-26-2008, 06:09 PM damit.
what a steal. im looking for the same one also.. 325 or 328is.. mileage is perfect also.. all the good cars are from west coast.. and i just moved to east coast! :(
awesome car man. comes in a rare bundle.
Morontron 04-27-2008, 05:08 PM Thanks Dimslo!
Price is flexible, everyone.

Come on!
Jai Armstrong 05-02-2008, 01:56 AM I'll buy it right now for $5,500 cash or maybe a trade + some cash?
I have a 93 red Nissan 300ZX NA with 125,000 mi and a very custom $4,000 stereo system...
And,
A 91 White Acura Legend with 180,000 miles runs great and very clean inside and out
I really want your car, please consider my offers.
I hope we can make something work.
Morontron 05-02-2008, 11:43 AM Sorry man I've already got my mind set on what I'd like for my next car.
The absolute lowest I can take for the car to still be able to afford what I want is $6500 :(
Morontron 05-02-2008, 08:43 PM I had not one, not two, but THREE buyers flake on me today!
Seriously, if you just show up with a check and don't give me a headache I'm pretty negotiable on price. I just want someone to come look at the car who isn't annoying.
Morontron 05-04-2008, 02:50 AM Do it!
M3smerize 05-04-2008, 03:35 AM At 6500 I'd definitely be interested to come check it out, but I'm in NorCal... :az
Morontron 05-04-2008, 02:52 PM $6500 is the no drama "non-tire kicker" price.
I actually had a guy tell me that the windscreen wiper blades didn't look new as a reason to detract from the price.
My price is fair and it's an opportunnity to own a neat car. All the other e36 coupes on autotrader in my area are way higher mileage or are totally thrashed.
If you wanna give me a call with some questions and would consider making the trip it'd definitely be worth it in my tainted opinion, lol.
man this car is perfect, but im all the way in Michigan, I am looking for an e36 within the next week...
Morontron 05-04-2008, 03:37 PM If you're far away and thinking about getting the car, let me mention that I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to New York. But then again I guess shipping would probably end up cheaper with airline tickets and gas being so expensive.
I wouldn't even know what the first step would be to ship a car but if I had a buyer then I'm sure something could get worked out.
My number is (909)767-0999 if you've got any questions about the car.
jiggynites 05-05-2008, 09:49 AM very beautiful looking car
Im sure whoever buys this car will keep it just as clean
its very hard to find a clean stock e36 these days
Morontron 05-05-2008, 03:09 PM Thank you so much for the encouragement man. It can be disheartening how people who just want you to lower the price try to make you feel like your car is sub-par.
Here's the deal- if you come to my house and are a jerk to me, I'm not going to give you a lower price, I'm going to ask you to leave.
Like I've said, the more comfortable I feel that you will take care of the car and not abuse it, the more negotiable I am on the price (within reason).
PocketPlayer 05-05-2008, 07:34 PM bump for a clean car.
I lost my job otherwise would pick this up. Been looking for a long time and this is exactly what I want. There have only been a handful of others that are in this class the last six months or longer I've seen, the best being an auto in San Diego a few months ago.
Don't let tire kickers (windshield wiper bimbos) punk you down in price. The worst buyer being Mr. Enthusiast who comes with an encyclopedia's knowledge of BMW's...expert in everything European...and CHEAP!
Morontron 05-06-2008, 01:46 AM Thank you man I appreciate it.
I had a guy today who seemed down to buy it.
He'd never owned a BM though and said he never drove above 65. He said the absolute max for his budget was $5,500.
So I'm guessing he'll go buy a Corolla.
At least he was pleasant and polite though.
Had a kid call me up today to set up an appointment for tomorrow. "YA WEN CAN I LOOK@ IT?"
Ugh shut up.
I hope he flakes 'cause I'm not sure I'll have the patience for him. lol.
Morontron 05-06-2008, 05:52 PM Hey if anyone wants to come buy the car today or tomorrow I'll be off work :)
Seriously if you know anyone who might be interested please get them the info. I'm really in need of a 4 door car.
Morontron 05-07-2008, 05:18 PM :cheeburga
Buzz325is 05-07-2008, 10:05 PM Nice Car. Had a 95 325is with a Bilstein BTS suspension and OEM DS2 staggered with 96K miles. Sold it on Craig's list 6 months ago for $6K. I'd recommend going that route in addition to posting here.
Morontron 05-08-2008, 05:28 PM ttt
Morontron 05-09-2008, 01:15 AM SOLD for $6.6k
God I miss it already.
Here are some pictures of me with the car that has helped me go from a teenager to a young man.
