BMWALDO 04-15-2008, 02:52 AM Fine... All angel eyes are lame... They are a lot cleaner and don't looks as dumb when they are turned off compared to the ones with the cheap looking plastic diffuser covers. Fine... All angel eyes are lame... Better? :tongue roarf 04-15-2008, 04:09 PM Fine... All angel eyes are lame... I have the chromiums now. They are bigger/uglyer, and one set already crapped on me. My next ones will be the thinlines :) asuj158 04-15-2008, 08:44 PM saaaawweeeet fishforlife 04-15-2008, 08:55 PM with some normal ones in the background on wheresmym3's car they look sick at night with my 30k hids and 3.5-4k highs http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h251/fishforlife/DSC03694.jpg JgA247 04-15-2008, 08:57 PM Just ordered my DEPO's from Habbie with Thinlines. I am like alot of people on this board who are not the hugest fans of AE's on an E36. I do like the thinlines though on alot of cars I have seen them on, so will be plugging in my thinlines for the time being. Any more pics on Estoril?? DrifterX27 04-15-2008, 09:46 PM thinlines look clean. might have to get some. Jahseso 04-16-2008, 12:13 AM where can I find thinlines? can you install them to just one light? I just want them on my "demon eyes" lights. the two Inner lights. Lost Cosmonaut 04-16-2008, 12:18 AM Those Thinlines are hot. Those Thinlines are hot. Anyone know if they're around for E38s or E34s? - Patrick not sure what diameter your bulb housing are but im sure there are thin lines that you can retrofit into them. might take some ingenuity but im sure yo can do it Nosphoros 04-16-2008, 01:30 AM http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/8857/my328shittyarkansasresipq4.jpg Pic of my thinlines angled from the top. They aren't skewed... just from an upward angle while standing on a slope. Excuse the dirty stripping... fishforlife 04-16-2008, 04:47 AM excuse the dirty stripping:confused that shit is minto pinto. did you not see my post a couple above yours. thats "dirty" and every letter of the word. thats 10k miles of bugs accumulated and i havent washed the car in well over a year. adamnur 04-16-2008, 06:10 AM :rofl at the guy with 30k HIDs. What a horrible waste of money. fishforlife 04-16-2008, 06:15 AM it was still an upgrade and i knew what i was getting into. i make few "waste of money" decisions. do you mind posting some specs on your car;) edit:so i got hids/thin lines/euro style glass housing w/ sick shrouds/can of wrinkle black all brand new for....and fabd boser hood for 380bucks "waste of money":confused JgA247 04-16-2008, 11:19 AM Any pics of the thinlines with 30k hid's? Im curious as to see what 30k looks like. Pink?? Anthony914 04-16-2008, 11:33 AM I actually had the thinlines in the past, loved them! never had one problem with them either.. I have the chromiums now. They are bigger/uglyer, and one set already crapped on me. My next ones will be the thinlines :) you know you can just take the shrouds off the chromiums and they are thinlines.... m3mobbin 04-16-2008, 11:35 AM I'm pretty sure 30K was a typo, it probably would be something like dark blue/black and completely useless for lighting the road. I'm assuming he meant 3k.... roarf 04-16-2008, 12:05 PM 30K is like, straight up purple. Looks horrible IMO. Can't imagine there's any useful light being put on the road. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/41KCSYeVAKL._SS400_.jpg omak81 04-16-2008, 01:32 PM 6000k hids in the fogs and headlights, 6500k thinlines - all zkw of course-cleanest of them all hands down! http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e29/omak81/017.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e29/omak81/012.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e29/omak81/016.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e29/omak81/015.jpg fishforlife 04-16-2008, 03:41 PM Any pics of the thinlines with 30k hid's? Pink?? yeah although they look more purple. dont much of either is this vid but they do look purple/pink on light backgrouds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwtFwuc7KJc Nosphoros 04-17-2008, 01:42 AM excuse the dirty stripping:confused that shit is minto pinto. did you not see my post a couple above yours. thats "dirty" and every letter of the word. thats 10k miles of bugs accumulated and i havent washed the car in well over a year. Shit man, that's not a lot of bugs. Black cars attract bugs. I have the detail my car every day to keep it looking remotely like that picture. In fact, as I recall, there was a nice coating of pollen on my car (I had washed it the night before, picture was taken in the morning) so I had to wash her again. This state really sucks! Like, ever see a horse fly hit your nosepanel at 95mph? Its not pretty man, I assure you. :mad And to think, we worry about certain rags giving the car micro scratches? Those big bugs from hell will seriously fuck your ride's freshly detailed exterior! :lol To further postulate my point, I am including a zoomed in picture of the front end of the car (with the same picture) pointing out the obvious issues with my bimmer's face: http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/1966/my328worktobedonenb1.jpg (http://imageshack.us) :eyecrazy fishforlife 04-17-2008, 06:19 AM  id rather not follow suit and zoom in, because its not necessary with my car, to annotate my flaws. but if it will make you feel better i will....youll soon realize what a gem you have. Aubergine 04-17-2008, 02:31 PM Where can I buy thinlines to fit `97-00 E39 Hella lights? I don't know, maybe I am too critical of aesthetic flaws. What's wrong with your ride? Maybe I should make a thread: "Rate my ride" :shifty adamnur 04-18-2008, 03:09 AM it was still an upgrade and i knew what i was getting into. i make few "waste of money" decisions. do you mind posting some specs on your car;) edit:so i got hids/thin lines/euro style glass housing w/ sick shrouds/can of wrinkle black all brand new for....and fabd boser hood for 380bucks "waste of money":confused Nah, I don't need to post specs of my car. It's just a little ol' 325. But that's all I need. Most of my upgrades are for show, few performance. When I spend money on upgrades...I make sure they're actually upgrades lol. But hey, if you're okay with HIDs that don't serve the purpose of HIDs...more power to ya ;) fishforlife 04-18-2008, 03:46 AM I don't know, maybe I am too critical of aesthetic flaws. What's wrong with your ride? Maybe I should make a thread: "Rate my ride" :shifty people wouldnt know by looking at my car but im a perfectionist. well few things on my car are perfect so it constantly bugs me. thats why i chose not to wash the car because less people tend to scrutinize a dirty car. Nah, I don't need to post specs of my car. It's just a little ol' 325. But that's all I need. Most of my upgrades are for show, few performance. When I spend money on upgrades...I make sure they're actually upgrades lol. But hey, if you're okay with HIDs that don't serve the purpose of HIDs...more power to ya ;) what you dont know is that is was a huge upgrade over what i previously had and it was about the same price plus i got shrouds/hids/thin lines and fabricated my hood....i think i mentioned that already. i can also buy proper bulbs for like 30bucks. yeah good point:confused darthE36 04-18-2008, 10:43 AM you know you can just take the shrouds off the chromiums and they are thinlines.... Can you elaborate? BMWALDO 04-18-2008, 11:56 AM Can you elaborate? Take the casing apart. The chromiums are a facade and a backing. Take them apart and the "thinline" is inside. You just have to be real delicate otherwise the isht breaks. darthE36 04-18-2008, 01:51 PM Ohh, makes perfect sense. Thank you, I was almost to this point but you did it for me: I realized every frickin' angel eye is the same. Well not the cheap ebay or LED, but the ones we all see are. when will people realize that your not always paying $$ for quality. BMWALDO 04-18-2008, 01:57 PM You're not just paying for quality. You're paying for R&D interest, service, shipping, transaction fees, and warranty. It just depends on how much the distributor believes in their product and their commitment to providing a quality long lasting product. Take ebay AEs or generics for example. Sell them at a low cost with no warranty on them working or not. If they don't work, then you keep paying out the nose for replacements till you hit the luck of the draw were you have a fully functioning set. OR You pay right the first time and you're guaranteed a set that will last and your parts are warranted. It all depends on what the distributor costs are for a product and what makes that product and service from any other. Then there is the consumer value of the said product and how much they care about what is offered and you go from there. SyN 04-18-2008, 02:51 PM I like what you did with the xenon shroud. very subtle. I knew you had a trick up your sleve. http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/1962/img0330qy5.jpg http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/7913/img0354ho2.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/9906/img0351uf8.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/6287/img0372cg0.jpg http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/3092/img0358za4.jpg The-Great-328ic 04-19-2008, 02:59 PM thanks, here is another pic I found, very subtle if you ask me http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/9707/sdddddddddcb1.jpg M52 POWER! 04-19-2008, 04:01 PM Looks excellent.
