I decided to sell my proudly owned e36 M3 in order to upgrade to an e46 M3. This is one of the cleanest and nicest e36 M3's you'll find which is pampered and well-maintained & adult owned.
I can't afford an e46 M3 unless I sadly sell this one first... Please read slowly and entirely (as well as viewing the many photos )so you can get an overall idea of this nice M3:
You will not find many very clean unmolested M3's like this one!

1998 BMW M3 with 5-spd manual transmission
Arctic Silver with Dove (light) Gray NAPA Leather (manual Vader Seats)
This is the first year with the side-airbags & rear headrests standard on an M3.
Runs & drives perfect - strong engine, excellent clutch, tight chassis, and awesome handling.
All stock except I recently upgraded to a new Active Autowerks short-throw shifter (since orig shifter/bushings worn out 3 mo ago). The AA SSK is precise, direct, and is such a wonderful upgrade!
Factory options: Sunroof, Cruise, Harman Kardon System with 6-CD Changer; Rear Spoiler
Comes with all the original books, leather case, & service/parts records plus I even have the original window sticker! This was always a Florida car since new.

Always garaged since new, with just minor & below average wear for its age. It shows this was (and still is) well-maintained.
Body is practically MINT: A+ with no parking lot door dings & no dents on any of the body panels. It is almost immaculate, but it is not a hibernating garage queen under covers... (just a pretty garage princess)
The entire car is very straight & has 99% flawless panels from top to bottom & front to back with just some few little road wear & very minor rash from the highways - since I still enjoy cruising in it!
Paint is in excellent glossy shiny condition! This is not a 100 point concours show car, but it is a VERY CLEAN weekend driver that easily scores 95++ on all marks. I wash/wax this weekly (every Sat or Sun) with Meguiars.

Interior is also nearly immaculate: deserves an A- rating due to its age. Even the driver's seat is 99% perfect! Maintained well with good patina for its age. No rips or ugly hideous cracks!
I clean and condition the leather with Meguiars Leather treatment and it stays very clean and nearly perfect for its 10 y/o age...
Headliner is mint - No tears, no stains, and no sags, all leather seats are extremely nice for its age, dash is 100% perfect, steering wheel is still very nice, illuminated M shifter is mint, center console and armrest is perfect.
Carpets are clean (I do not smoke), trunk is nice & neat, door panels have minor lift in the pockets from Florida heat (nothing too bad - I'm just picky), rear parcel shelf is perfect
All glass and windows are in excellent shape - no blurring and no cracks or chips, and even the headlight lenses are in very good non-hazed condition. Front & rear signal lenses are also undamaged.
Everything works great: Strong & Cold A/C; All electronics work fine. No problems whatsoever with the power accessories... from power sunroof to power windows to power mirrors, power locks, vanity lights, etc... they all work fine.
Recent Inspection II Complete Maintenance performed including preventive maintenance - no expense spared (over $2,000 in maintenance few months ago). Inspection II is the most comprehensive & expensive one, in case you didn't know.
New power steering hoses, new brakes & sensors, new flex disc "guibo", new airbag pass-seat sensor, new intake valve cover gaskets, recent tuneup, all fluids & filters recently changed, etc... (all work done at Redline BMW)
Also from previous owner: new thermostat, water pump/impeller, and radiator… BMW OEM parts used. No problems at all even on very hot & humid Florida days!
Maintained by Ft. Lauderdale BMW by first owner and by Redline Performance BMW since I owned it (Rennie and Tim can attest how nice & orig this is!)

Basically, you just drive it and enjoy it! I am a BMW enthusiast and I take good care of this M3. I do not race and I do not beat on my cars.
Clean & clear title in hand. 100% Clean Carfax (1st owner was 9 years, 2nd owner is me). No accidents ever - not even a parking lot fender bender!
All original VIN decals are still intact on ALL body panels. Not one single panel was ever replaced... This M3's body and chassis is straight and original.
Update: I just went over 100k miles (this weekend) which is fairly low enough for a '98 but this M3 looks/feels more like it has half the miles since it's been well-cared since new.

I'm having second thoughts about NOT selling it since it's so harder to find a pristine all-original e36 M3 nowadays (many are beat, tracked, modded, etc...), especially one with a good history like this beauty...
...it was a one-owner Florida bought and Florida kept, always garaged it, kept it all-original and well-maintained, and just appreciated it for what it is... so maybe you can pry this off of me before I change my mind!!

I actually enjoy bringing this to the many South Florida car shows, cruises, and meets (like Tower Shops in Davie on Friday nights), and those who have seen it & know me can attest to how nice this M3 is!
When you see it, you will be amazed... pics don't do it justice but I tried to take many photos as you can see! Thanks.

Soooo, as you can see from all my photos on the web - this is how much I love this M3.
Look at as many M3's as you can that's for sale and this one will consistently be one of the nicest you can find.
But if I do sell it, I hope the new owner can keep it in pristine shape (as I and the 1st owner have done) for many years down the road...

Hi, It says above in my description under: "Update: I just went over 100k miles (this weekend)...." I have been driving it to work everyday (20 miles total) - from my garage to my office with a garage so therefore it stays indoors. On weekends, I usually drive to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale to meet up with local BMW enthusiasts where we just chat and hang out and talk about bimmers all day/night. This car is so fun to drive that you would want to do the same thing - it deserves to be driven and pampered. PM me and we can discuss further. Thanks.

I took better pics of the seats to show how minimal the wear & tear this M3 has...

THIS IS THE DRIVER'S VADER SEAT IN EXCELLENT SHAPE:

THIS IS THE PASSENGER'S VADER SEAT WHICH IS ALSO IN MINT CONDITION:

Thanks... the 3-spoke wheel was standard on 1998.5 models (in other words those with build date of 3/98 and newer). My M3 had a build date of 10/97. See below, courtesy of BMW Registry:

What changes were made to the North American-spec E36 M3 3.2 during its producton?
Though there were no further mechanical changes to the North American-spec E36 M3 after the 1996 model year, a number of equipment revisions occurred before production ended in August 1999. These included:
-Restyled grille and side marker turn signals (9/96 production)
-Byzanz metallic available (9/96-8/97 production, U.S-market sedan only)
-Side impact airbags available as an option for sedans (1/97 production)
-Power front seats available as individual option (3/97 production, already offered in Canada)
-Luxury Package option discontinued (9/97 production)
-Side impact airbags standard on all body styles (9/97 production)
-Illumination added to M shift knob (9/97 production)
-Rear headrests added (9/97 production)
-Front armrest added as standard (9/97 production, already standard in Canada)
-M Contour II alloy wheels available as a no-cost option (9/97 production)
-M cloth/Amaretta suede upholstery discontinued for U.S. market (9/97 production)
-Magma and Mulberry Nappa leather upholsteries (previously offered only in combination with Luxury Package) reintroduced to U.S. market (11/97 production)
-Three-spoke M steering wheel replaces four-spoke version on M3 coupes (3/98 production, already standard in Canada)
-Imola Red (405) paint available (3/98 production)
-Titanium Silver metallic (354) offered in place of Arctic Silver metallic (309) (3/98 production)
-Fern Green metallic (386) offered in place of Boston Green metallic (275) (3/98 production, not available on sedans)
-Radio updated from Alpine C33 to Alpine C43 (9/98 production)
-Sand Beige leather upholstery offered (9/98 production)

UPDATE: The e46 M3 I wanted to buy badly has been sold (it was an '02 M3 mint w/ only 18k miles).... so most likely I will hold on to this e36 M3 a little longer...
But if I ever do sell this, it will be kinda hard to replace it with an equal or better example.

Yes, I agree - praise the car since it deserves all the accolades (not me). Not one person has anything seriously negative to comment on this beauty, it's not showroom new but it's in such fine shape for being a 10 y/o M3 now, it makes you appreciate how nice these e36 M3's are if kept clean & maintained through all the years of ownership and driving... :)

Sorry, I pulled it because I may not sell it any longer (14k at first, then 12,5k since it was an offer)... but I realize more & more that this thing is so close to showroom condition that I'll likely not find one in the same or better shape for a while, or I might even regret letting it go (seller's remorse?). Most of the bimmer friends & euro enthusiasts down here ALL say not to sell it - that's HOW nice this beauty is.
