Taken from Chris's post on another forum (slightly revised)

Baron BMW presents the 2008 KCBMW Autocross School AKA "Drive Till You Drop Autocross School" The School will be held in a cooler environment on Saturday JUNE 7th. And at Arrowhead Lot L. I have already invited some smoking fast instructors from out of the area! St Louis, Omaha, Wichita, Topeka, and Locally. (FWIW - lots of these guys have beaten me in my own car )

This School is for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced students with more personalised instruction than any Autocross School in the country. This would also be good followup for students that have attended Teen Street Survival School (or Evolution) and want some (more) High Performance training as well as more tweaking of skills for advanced students.

Benefits include but not limited to:
*LOTS of drive time, Students last year had all they wanted.
*Personalised instruction for the Midwest's best and fastest drivers. Some are National Champions!
*Ride alongs with Instructors in their own vehicles (and yours). See how it supposed to happen.
*Performance event in a controlled environment. The only way it should happen!!
*See what your car can do!!!!!
*Any car allowed except for SUV's (and Tanks)
*Baron BMW Presents Back Yard Burgers!!! Free Lunch and Water.
* Its still early and can work on new skills all year!!!

All this for only $75!
(Must be a BMW member and any car is very welcome!)(cars are per SCCA Solo-II rules) Non members must Join BMW club which is about $43 so that + $75 is $118 and still more than $100 less than Evolution. To join BMW go to www.bmwcca.org (quickly as it takes a couple of day to confirm) Let me know once you do. oldredm3 at gmail.com

Mark your calender's. Tell your friends.

Get registered now!!! Don't get left out as there are only 30 students allowed.

haha. i hope the 30 slots aren't filled by time i get that in the mail. I've been really wanting to get into racing/auto-x and not that I have the MINI, the need is growing! This sounds like a great oppurtunity to learn and whatnot. How do these things usually work? It says you have plenty of time with instructors. Do they run the course with you first or something or what? I guess what I'm asking, is what's the format for something like this?

It's like a DE, but for autox, you have an instructor with you most of the day to offer advice and ask questions etc. If you can't get into this, come to the DE at MAM the same weekend. :)

Don't know but I sure can drive home ;)
Just looked at a map and realized MAM was only 3 hours away or so.
So give me more information on what happens/format of a DE? :)

Here's a nice article on what to expect at a DE, most of this applies to the autox school also. You know we are doing one in a bit over a week in Hastings? :)

I wouldn't drive 45 minutes for 3 minutes of driving but I'd drive 3 hours for 3 hours of fun. ;)
