$8800 firm

Avus Blue with Dove Grey interior, 5-speed, 137,xxx miles

This car has been 'enthusiast' maintained most of its life, it has had all major E36
issues addressed, remains bone stock with OEM replacement parts used. Except for
minor issues described below, the body is straight as an arrow and everything
functions 100%. I have owned the car since 118k, but I am good friends with the
previous owner and have ridden in and helped work on the car since it had 40k miles
on it. The car drives nearly like new, no vibrations, awsome M3 handling, quiet interior.
Never raced or tracked. Averages 24mpg daily 35 mile commute, 25-28mpg highway trips.
Sports a set of new Michelin Pilot PS2's with less than 1000 miles on them,
installed by Digital Chassis. Only synthetic lubricants used, I use Castrol
Syntec products in it.

repairs/maintenance:
-Entire cooling system replaced @~70k. Inc. radiator and water pump w/ metal impeller.
-Koni single adjustable struts
-New Sachs clutch, slave cylinder, clutch line ~130k
-driveshaft center bearing replaced, shaft re-balanced
-new guibo
-shifter rebuilt with stock bushings, linkage.
-alignment by Brad Moyer with Digital Chassis.
-differential lube changed
-transmission fluid changed
-new exhaust hangers
-new fuel filter
-new head cover gasket
-custom door panel inserts by Auto Tops & Interiors in Raleigh
-AC system flushed/recharged.
-plastic cowl cover replaced

issues:
-cruise control will not set. Needs $20 clutch switch replaced.
-Minor damage passenger side rear, bumper cover cracked. Previous owner
got caught in an ice storm and had a very low speed impact with a guard rail.
-rock chips in windshield, repaired and not spreading at this time, but visible.
-some wear on driver's seat
-some wear on floormats, bottom of floor mats dry-rotting.
-rear speakers removed
-temp guage in cluster intermittently stops working, likely loose connection behind it.

I have hi-res photos at http://69boo307.com/M3/, including pics of mentioned issues.
Excuse the dead bugs on the nose :).

Further notes:
***Pictured head unit not included, I will
replace with factory am/fm/cassette head unit in good working order.
***Also NOT included, Valentine 1 pictured.
***Continental US buyers only, with local pickup arranged by buyer
***I prefer a local transaction done in person.

Wow, pretty clean, very intrested now. Im just curious, it seems like the ice storm damage only affected the front bumper. Is there any other areas that has some minor damage?

Yeah, there's more pics in the link.
The damage is on the passenger side rear, it cracked the bumper cover and slightly bent the area above it. It's not very noticeable unless you're looking for it, but it's there. One of the pics is just of that rear corner. I've never felt the need to get it professionally repaired since this was my normal driver and 99% of people would never notice it. Previous owner slid on the ice and tapped a guard rail at about 5mph.
The front has no damage other than some squished bugs and rock chips from the highway. It's a very clean, well kept car, but it's not pristine. I took that into account when pricing it.

It says you are in Detroit? You could drive this car from NC to MI without a second thought. I've driven it on a 1000 mile road trip before without a hitch.

No thanks, if I had cash I wouldn't be selling it, and I'm not an s2000 fan ;)

Another comment, just to clarify. I have the clear title in hand, but I can't sign it over without cash or cleared funds. It takes my bank 10 days to release funds for any form of check. Cash always makes for a quick and easy transaction. :)

feel free to ask any questions, there's nothing to hide with it.

Other stuff I thought of, it'll come with the Bentley manual, a Peak tool, couple of Mahle oil filters. I have the original manuals and stuff in the leather binder in the dash. It's also possible, if required, to obtain some of the records from a local dealer (Performance in Chapel Hill) that did a good bit of the work on it, and from the previous owner. I don't want to go through that hassle just for fun though, unless someone just has to have it.

Good man...So let me just get something straight, the dots on the front bumper are from rock chips on the high way right? Is that the OEM spoiler, cause it doesnt look like it. Can you please take a picture of the side profile of the car as well. Thanks.

Most of the dots are dead bugs actually, but there are alot of little 'pepper spray' pinpoint sized chips from the years on the road. No big chips in the paint though. This time of year you can't drive a car in the evening without getting it coated with bugs around here.
I'm not sure about the rear spoiler, it was on the car when the previous owner got it around 40k miles. We believe it was not on the car originally but was added sometime after the fact, I have no idea if it is a BMW part or not.

I'll try to get some side shots, though it may not be today. I mainly wanted to show the lack of door dings, which you can't see straight on from the side, thus the angled shots.

Another photo I found of the car. This photo was taken at about 118k when I replaced the valve cover gasket, not bad for an engine that old, I've eaten off plates there were dirtier. This wasn't after cleaning either, this was after removing the valve cover for the first time ever.
