Many of you know that I've been looking for a US Spec M3 in Germany. It's taken me over a year, but I found one. Through some friends, I had been hearing of a Black E30 M3 on base. When I returned from my deployment I headed up to the guys office. I asked him if he was interested to sell his M3. Two and a half weeks later, and lots of convincing it's mine.

Its a one owner 91 Diamantschwarz on Grey M3. The previous owner bought it brand new through the military sales program here in Germany. He's had it in the states a few times, but it's spent most of its years right here. It's got 90K miles. He also kept seat covers on the front seats since day one. <- I took them off, as they were pretty ugly.

The wheels are some OZ Racing 17's. They rub if I turn too hard, I'm not a fan of them. I'm going to look for some Style 5's I think.

Seats are in good condition. But the interior is pretty dusty and dirty inside. Should be good after a cleaning!

since it's a U.S. spec car is it possible to swap in euro/evo parts and goodies then ship it back to the U.S. w/o re-federalization?

Yes it is possible, but he still has to worry about where he gets stationed after Germany, and what the regulations will be like there as far as emissions testing goes and what not.

Anyway, I think once it hits 21 you're good to go without needing to federalise or anything like that. I wanted to bring my e28 back over, but it didn't work out.

I failed to mention I was making the comment towards the "Euro-parts" post from earlier.

Maybe it depends on the state for the age of the car. Me and the old man looked into it pretty heavily and found a clause somewhere stating that it is 21 years by the build date. I believe that it was recently abriged when we found it (sometime between july and september of '07). Not that any of this really matters seeing as it IS US-spec.

I'm military, so they ship a car for me for free.

What sort of euro parts are you looking for? I recently sold some Euro Check Panels, and I have a few euro grills sitting here.

I have a euro grill and I just got my M3 Friday so I'm not sure how hard the Evo 3 airbox pieces are hard to get a hold of state side so that'd be something I'd be interested in... And I'd love the front spoiler lip and rear wing as well but I'll probably end up fabbing those myself. Let me know though... If they are just laying around I'll take them!

Good price. Recently a salvaged E30 M3 with rear end damage came thru an auction and sold for $5400.
