Seems to have happened all of a sudden. When I put the car in reverse the system beeps but the sideview mirror doesn't turn down anymore. I have hit the PDC button but am not really sure how to turn it on/off or reset it back to good (wish it had an Ctrl. Z feature like the PC! :cool) so I need some advice or tips on what to do. I've read about it in my Owners Manual but this hasn't helped me figure out how to turn it back on! I was monkeying around the the "hidden menu" on the speedo (the 2 buttons that would normally reset the trip odo and such) not long ago and the PDC seemed to stop working after this. Did I accidentally mess something up or is this a coincidence?
Thanks!!

The passenger mirror dip/tilt feature is NOT part of PDC...but is a standard feature on just about ALL BMWs going back to the 80s.
It is controlled by the position of the switch that allows you to adjust either the driver's or passenger side mirror. See the info from the owners manual below:

Excellent... good to know! Thinking it was PDC controlled... that was where I was looking to correct it. Must have missed the note on how to de-activate the feature.... because I flipped it back over to the drivers side position and, sure enough, the mirror is moving again. I thought that was a selector for which mirror to move (driver or passanger). I feel pretty dumb that all I did was turn it off ( :rolleyes ).. but I'm learning all the electronic gadgets!
Your answers really are On-Point, Q! Thank You! :cool
