When the outside temp goes below 37 degrees (F), you will get an audible and visual warning.

If you don't have an owners manual...you can go to www.e38.org and download the 1997 e38 owners manual in PDF format (makes it easy to search by topic). The manuals are at the bottom of the left column.

Don't fret...there's nothing in the 97 manual that won't explain EVERYTHING that is in your 96...there's not that much difference between model years. Just pay attention to the topics that have an asterisk...those features are optional and not in every model.

Back on topic... the 37 degree warning is interesting, i guess its cool. my dad's suburban will flash "ICE" on the temperature reading on the rear view mirror when it drops below 37.

jakehey it was down to 20 degrees last night.but rebounded nicely to the 70's today,now if the damn wind would die down under 45 mph we might actually get to enjoy it.

Same here in Vegas.....81 degrees, wind up to 40 knots, but like the locals say, its not the wind you hear blowin', that's Las Vegas suckin'
