I just drove my car from CA to Lackland AFB, and I'm in need of a mechanic in the San Antonio area. I have a 540i and it's idling rough. I had a diagnostics check done before I left, and there was only one error (thermostat) that was fixed and cleared. The check engine light also came on on the way out here. :help

I ended up seeing BMW of San Antonio when I took my girlfriend to the airport, so I stopped by. They gave me a new X3 while my car was there. It wasn't major (spark plug and coil), so it wasn't outrageously expensive. The service was pretty good although they tried to tell me that my valve cover gasket needed to be replaced ($800 to repair) even though it was only my oil cap that needed to be replaced ($11).

While I was there, they were talking about a place called Rhine West (or something like that) that one of the guys was recommending to his buddy.

Rhine West does overflow work for the dealer so don't expect to save a bunch of money there. I have heard good and bad about them so I just never have taken my car there.

Ive taken my wifes 740 to rhine west, good guys....high dollar, but so is the car. Theres a place in von ormy, on 35 south. Kinda out of the way but they do good work at good prices. Bimmers & Benzes 210 623 2500

I've been toying with trying out Rhine West but I have heard they are pricey. They're less than 5 min from the BMW Dealership, up Broadway on the right. I've got a carwash just up the road from there so it would be convienient, but so far Prestige has been great.

Did your carwash's value increase significantly? yesterday, the assessor sent out notices of 2008 appraised value on most commercial properties. :)
My home went up 28% and my clients values on commercial propperties went up an average of 15%.
