Stupid question time -- When my motor went back together last year, we were stumped when it came to reattaching the 2-wires to the Stack dash for the oil temp. The sensor on the oil filter housing only has one (1) male terminal, while I have two wires (red and black) with female connectors. Needless to say I have no oil temp readout on the Stack dash. What did I screw up or lose here? I've tried connecting the red wire to the terminal and grounding the black -- no work. Thing is, I didn't think we removed the sensor from the oil filter housing during the rebuild, but maybe we did and I've got the wrong one in there? :help

The second picture below shows the sensor close-up - the wire angling down towards 7oclock with the connector on it is the one looking for a home

Hey Ed,

I was just thinking. Maybe connect the black (presumably ground) wire to the sensor, and attach the red wire to a 12v source? I don't know, just another cheap test.

Chris, thanks again for your help on Saturday.

There's really no obvious place where the extra wire (red or black) might have gone -- just the sensor. It worked before :confused
