Yesterday me and the gang had a blast. Kaptom,MartinV, Dan, Bimmerfiver, Omarcc,and Wasiq decided to pay me a visit to detail our cars. It was a superb day for the first few hours till it got cold and dreary but we are hardcore and a couple of sprinkles weren't going to put a damper on operations. Keith (Bimmerfiver) came through with the goods as usual. This time he came armed with every detailing product on the market. Some of the stuff had to be underground since it looked like it was bottled some where in a basement in a small region of Guatemala. (Hey those kids make good stuff :buttrock)

There were tons of pics taken. Of course I had to call in the pro's at EGP LLC to take care of business. Their slogan is " The difference is clear!" That pretty much sold me on the spot!

First up was washing Kaptoms Car. The wheels are sick. They look the best in person and I was internally jealous of them. Kaptom knew this and smiled each time I looked at those damn wheels. You will notice below keith had sexual relations with the rear wheels an kaptom knew of this. Check it out....

Lol. Those are my winter wheels/tires which I bought from Kaptom in November. Winter seems to have just ended two weeks ago in NY :rolleyes so off they came and on went Kaptom's style 19's. Gumbi made fun of my Style 19's for a few days...and all day yesterday...until he SAW them on the car. Then he said, "Dude, man, srsly, I gotta say bro, those Style 19's are for the win." I'm quoting Gumbi there.

UNFORTUANTELY these knuckleheads have me working under a 60 watt bulb, there's no halogen-shots to expose the swirls/imperfections in the paint, no before-after photos. :( However, we know the deal since we were there. :)

If all these guys left me alone with some electricity and SRS PUP, I'd be fine. :D SRS PUP could protect me in the hood (actually, 99% of the dudes in NJ think I'm FBI, CIA, NSA or something serious).

I don't cover swirls, I eradicate them. I see scratches and I try to make them disappear and it would've been nice to have time to fill in some rock chips that annoyed me.

Well it was pretty much a dead issue. The clock struck 10 pm. We were at it since 10AM. 12 hours of non stop detail action......we were all beat. We had to have some grub and celebrate as much as we could for Keiths B-day....

Well guys its been fun. Wish we could have done more work but overall it was a successful meet. I know a lot of people wanted to come but honestly any more cars, and we would not have accomplished much. Not to mention the weather was not really being nice to us.

I'd like to thank for all my friends that showed up. Special thanks to my homey Omar for taking everything in stride and for keeping the laughs coming. He is quite the character as you can see.

Thank you Keith for making my car look sexier then it already does! I salute you!

On a side note, my car looks superb. I will be taking pics of it tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a sig worthy pic. Tonight is gorgeous and EGP LLC is having a special on night shots but im really feeling lazy. I just might take them.....

Keith found out about the "gift" and while I had my window open, He chucked it into my car. "Rasheed" narrowly missed my face by an inch but hit my arm instead. Right now I have a thick coating Of Ben-gay to eas the pain of my arm.

Reached into the glove compartment for my GPS. Pulled up along side Gumbi at a red light. Driving rain storm, put my window down, he puts his passenger window down on his Excursion SUV...left handed I was able to backhand that thing through his window at a speed of 19mph. It hit Gumbi and had it not, it would've broken his driver's side window. I was going to call Gumbi to make sure he wasn't knocked unconscious, then when he pulled through the light, I knew he was fine.

Being awake for 17 hours that day, detailing for 12 of them was rough. I am temporarily retired from detailing.

Looks like a good time, too bad I had to work.... If I had known where you lived I would have stopped by and finally swapped that spare with you!

LOL they keep my feet cool since they are well ventilated. NOw that I look at them, they do look quite ridiculous. I wore them all summer last year. They feel great though.

I still can't beleve I had it sitting in the back of my closet. The biggest rude awakening came when I slipped it on. I have gained so much weight in the past year and a half. The pics really showed me that too. I need to go on some sort of nutri system. The misses pointed it out too which was like a slap in the face :(

Actually my car went straight into the garage. Threat was averted. MArtin had to drive the porsche in pouring rain. No worries though, some detail spray and it willl be good as new again. With all that protection, Martin's car can deflect AIDS.

My pleasure, the car looked great, very clean. Kaptom's paint had minor swirls (he uses a local that uses quality hand method, but I cringe at the thought of anyone touching my car but me) lacked shine, but he takes great care of his stuff (and garages the car too). The scratch that was on his trunk deck was 90% eliminated.

Detail day was indeed a day, 12 hours of cleaning. Gumbiu's car came around as did Martin's 2000, 911 . All three cars were lighter shades of silver. Gumbiu's paint had major swirls (cough, from poor car washing techniques :D ) and Martin's 911 went from fairly clean to showroom.

Detail 411/911:

1). Wash car with P21S auto shampoo and australian wool mit.
2). Dry with P21S chamois.
3). Clay with Pinnacle Ultra Poly.
4). Wheels are simply scrubbed with soap and a soft brush.
5). DeWalt Rotary at 1K rpm using a Green Edge 2000 wool pad and Meguiar's # 83 Polish.
6). Wipe paint down with detail spray and inspect.
DeWalt Rotary at 1600 rpm using Blue Edge 2000 wool pads and Poor Boy's SSR1 polish.
7). Wipe down entire car, then Wax with Pinnacle Liquid Souveran.
8). Buff paint, then Wax again with S100.
9). Buff paint, then with Poor Boys Quick Wax.
10). Buff paint and then spray with DP Surface Shield Paint Sealant.
11). Gummi Pflege all door seals, rubber trim and window seals.
12). Klasse rubber care to the tires.
13). Wheel wax.
14). BMW Leather Care Lotion to all seats.
15). BMW Fabric Cleaner to A-Pillars, side and rear pillars. Remove all stains.
16). BMW Care spray to interior doors, dash and center console.
17). Vinylex Blue for all wood trim.
18). All door hinges sprayed/cleaned with Wurth lubricant spray, then greased with White Lithium spray.
19). Simichrome polish tailpipes.
20). Einszett Glass Polish to front windshield and headlights.
21). One more spray to paint of DP Paint Shield.

I highly recommend folks out there purchase a rotary, get the hang of it and become a paint Jedi. A Porter Cable or Ultimate Detailing Machine might be a better way to start.
